Digiblur,
This map is what I am talking about. Colorado Springs is not anywhere near the center of the spotbeam. And I had to add a 30" dish to get a signal of about 30.
I hope they are planning to move Denver locals here. That would enable Colorado Springs DMA locals to shift from 129 TP2 Spotbeam 28 to Spotbeam 19 that Denver is currently using on 129 TP4. Spotbeam 28 is really less than optimal for Colorado Springs--and especially for those of us in that...
I called Dish tech support. They sent a hit to my receivers. I get BET HD now. They said it did not update automatically because they had not sent out the final activation step, yet. So either call them or just wait a few hours.
Yep. All are on. Just wish the signal was not so weak at my mountain location. But next week I am adding a 30" dish just for 129. That should do the trick!
It is a fact. The Denver DMA is very large and spills into adjacent states. The Colorado Springs/Pueblo DMA just does not match the spotbeam pattern which is better optimized to northern New Mexico. Yet the large cities in New Mexico are on a different spotbeam. I think the problem is that...
I really do not want to switch to Direct; I have four HDDVRs now and doubt Direct would be able to handle my present wiring that uses separators connected to single RG-6 coax runs to each DVR.
And there are also issues with the Colorado Springs spotbeam (SB28) coverage. I am in northern part of Teller County. The beam almost does not reach there. Instead, it covers large part of New Mexico--which is not in the DMA!!!
