If you have a choice between DVI and component, I would go with DVI.

Yeah, you’ll need to subscribe with your phone company but it is pretty inexpensive, like $3 per month or something like that. The feature basically displays the caller ID information (Name of Caller and telephone number) on your TV screen when you get a call.

If you want to be able to take advantage of the caller id feature (a nice feature), you’ll need to plug your phone line.

I compared DVI vs. Component when I first installed Voom and found DVI to be superior. I did notice that the pic was a bit darker on component as you mentioned, but I interpreted the darker pic as having less detail. I did not notice the “foggy appearance” you mentioned. I guess in some ways...

Is anyone else having an issue with OTA channels not maintaining their “hidden” status? I have had this occur the last couple of days. The OTA channels that I hide are only maintained while the receiver is ON. When I shut the receiver off and turn it back ON, the previously hidden channels...

I don’t remember exactly what signal you need to have for a clear OTA picture, but I believe it is over 80…I seem to recall having problems with OTA channels when the signal is below 85.
