Phil, you are inccorect. I had mine off for 43 days and was still getting OTA.

THe instant you pointed it at the sat to get an update it will turn off your card, which will render the OTA useless anyway.

Checked my other box and it also no longer has ESPN. I get the Subscriber message. I have the update on both boxes. I'm calling Voom to check if they know anything. -MP

For some reason on one of my boxes I no longer have access to ESPN. It tells me to call to upgrade. I still get ESPN-HD, etc; 303 is the only channel I seem to have lost. Anyone else seen this? Kind of annoying.

If there was another mechanism I'd think I would have hit it as long as I ran, but I guess you never know. It was really only useful when all my other OTA tuners were occupied and I had to check a different channel ;).

I don't know the legal implications, which is why I didn't post it. But the fact is that if you are a box owner, your Voom receiver can continue to receive OTA after you disconnect the Voom service.

Well, Direct is using the elliptical dish now and mine is still round. So *shrug* who knows ;). Just trying to minimize the pain of switching over.
