    Friday Night Lights

    I read where my favorite show from last season "Friday Night Lights", has been picked up as a Direct-TV exclusive for the fall season. I believe NBC will show it later starting in January. Well, at least I will eventually get to watch it (I am a Dish subscriber).

    Ice Road Truckers Season 2

    I find myself watching occasionally. This show is a master at hypeing the dangerous, but in the end it rarely ever occurs. Drew is the comedy portion. Overall though, an interesting look at a labor profession I will never actually partake in. This is my chance to be a couch-potato trucker.

    Why are many new shows not in widescreen?

    All the sets don't have to be monster 50" or larger sets for HDTV. I have three HDTV sets: 52" (main), 32" (bedroom), 27" (workroom). I don't watch my older analog sets anymore. HD is the way I want to go. You don't have to be a millionaire to go this route. (And I don't live in Silicon Valley...
