One of the few channels that has actually listened to viewers. The channel logo got toned down from launch, and sometime a month or two ago they started showing a vast majority of their movies OAR.

For Kubrick fans, MGM is HD premiering one of his early great films tonight, The Killing at 10 and 12 east.

Yes, they will have the exclusive rights. It's a combo of Paramount/Lionsgate/MGM, and I remember reading somewhere that they took some of or all three deals from either Showtime or HBO to create the network.

Spike is showing the original Hawaii Five-0 all day this week in 4:3 HD. The little bit that I saw this afternoon looked good, from the first season.

Max is showing just about every Hitchcock film from Man Who Knew Too Much on this month. Torn Curtain looked great the other day, Vertigo is on Saturday morning.

MGM is showing the first three Roger Moore Bonds Fri-Mon at different times. As far as I know, the first shot at getting The Spy Who Loved Me in OAR(other two aren't cinema-wide). Their website says uncut and uninterrupted, so maybe no one minute breaks as well.

From what I've seen, it looks like Paramount movies don't get the OAR treatment, Lionsgate and MGM do. Which sucks because Lionsgate doesn't put out a great number of films, and MGM gets out about 1 or 2 a year:rolleyes:. But, there's still the old releases. For anybody who's an Eastwood...

Just a heads up. Noticed that Epix guide on Dish has been off occasionally, tonight it is. Epix' website has what looks like the correct info. Indy is on tomorrow night at 8 et, not Iron Man, which I don't see on in the next few days anyway.

I had it DVRd and didn't really even know if we were going to watch it. But, that ep was about the best I've seen from that show, it really opened up things a bit.

Guide seems to be pretty much like Encore HD, as far as denoting whether something's in HD or not, although a couple so far didn't say HD and were.

Ratings have trended up since the middle of this season, so it should be all right, especially given the competition it's up against.

Agreed, if you're interested in a cheaper looking version of 300, tune in. If you want to watch something that at least gives the slightest feeling that it might be authentic(scenery, etc.), no.
