Meemaw is played by Annie Potts (Ghostbusters, Designing Women, etc) A wonderful actor. Sheldon's Mom in BBT is played by Laurie Metcalf Sheldon's mom in Young Sheldon is played by Zoe Perry, who is Laurie Metcalf's daughter.

BBT is always careful to get the science correct. Tonight's episode of Young Sheldon was sloppy. The orbital stuff looked OK although the dialog was trivial. However this is supposed to take place in 1984-5. They referenced FTP and PID controllers. This stuff is 5-15 years in the future.

In our market, it was pre-empted for a 90 minute media event over the Packers home opener win. Finally aired at midnight. Thank goodness for TIVO. FWIW, I liked it and will leave a season pass running for now.
