    They think were idiots

Yes, the "card" I am talking about is an electronics card, not an access card. It has a little handle on it and a RF connector on the back panel. If it is properly installed, it needs to be WELL SEATED in the opening in the BACK (not the side) of the IRD and your antenna lead should be connected...

    They think were idiots

Please read my post way back on page 2. I have given you a step by step guide that won't take more than 5 minutes of your time and will give you the answer conclusively. That's why I mentioned using one of the strongest stations (in my guide). Although different sensitivities could be...

    They think were idiots

This problem is easy enough to troubleshoot. 1. With everything connected correctly :) , put up the guide and tune to one of the OTA channels that you normally get a very strong signal on. If your guide does not show your OTA channels correctly, then you are not properly mapped and that...

Using your version of the English language, "If the shoe fits, were it." :p

Have you been told...? (By CSR OTA mapping not possible because FCC...)

Vurbano is correct, and in my case Wilt and Peter had to intervene in order to remap my locals to Boston instead of Providence.

VOOM OTA Mapping Problems? (Channels listed are not as expected)

Now I am really impressed! Within 4 hours of my original complaint Wilt and Peter now have the Boston locals mapped to my IRD. I love a happy ending! Most times it is not an automatic function - you have to initiate the scan yourself, but the rest of your assumptions (and Mr. Biggles' added...

VOOM OTA Mapping Problems? (Channels listed are not as expected)

As a follow up, I heard directly from Wilt and Peter from Voom ( in just a few minutes, I might add!) and they assured me that they would take care of the remapping to hold me over until they switch to a scanning format. Wilt said: Now that's what I call exceptional care and service...

VOOM OTA Mapping Problems? (Channels listed are not as expected)

I tried, Sean, but even though I joined the Yahoo group a couple of days ago, I have yet to receive an email from the group, and when I tried posting everything looks like it went through but the post doesn't show up in the list. They call that a forum?

VOOM OTA Mapping Problems? (Channels listed are not as expected)

Maybe you are just being refused and they didn't bother to tell you. Read this: http://www.satelliteguys.us/showthread.php?t=12082

VOOM OTA Mapping Problems? (Channels listed are not as expected)

Voom refuses to remap OTA locals (fixed!) After waiting 9 days to get my OTA locals remapped, I just called back Voom and have been told that they cannot remap my locals due to FCC rulings regarding the zip code in which I live in and what locals MUST be mapped to my zip code. Since I live in...

VOOM OTA Mapping Problems? (Channels listed are not as expected)

It's been 9 days for me and I have no locals at all. What is the average wait time (if there is such a thing) to get locals remapped?

VOOM OTA Mapping Problems? (Channels listed are not as expected)

This is a quote from Dan Tilton. I am in EXACTLY the same boat as he is, with the EXACT same numbers appearing in my mappings. The only difference is that my zip code is 02895, so I am a little farther from Boston than he, but my mappings should be exactly the same. My off air map is reading...
