As a DNS user, I would like to have the NY feeds in HD but it isn't going to happen. The FCC had enough battles with DNS as it is now. Selective Out of Network reception isn't going to happen until the Major Networks drop using advertizing as the business model and I don't see that happening...

Since I receive the DNS channels that are "never available", just what are you trying to say?

The email said 10-14 business days. The reason I mention the uplinks is that they can't turn on what isn't there, and the LA HD CONSUS beams aren't there.

Too much hassle calling in daily. Besides there is an advantage of using two time zones for recording programs in the same time slot. Couldn't care less about local news. I have the Internet for weather. I have two dishes, one automatic on the roof and one ground dish for when there are...

They might be up on the satellites but they are not turned on. From the eMail: "The NY Networks in Standard definition can be found on channels 8100-8120 and the High Definition of the NY Network broadcasts can be found on channels 6300-6304. LA Networks in Standard definition can be found on...

Not in my account. I was told that I was approved on 5/23 and the channels should be alive in 10-14 business days. The SD channels at 8000 and 8100 are already CONUS but not in my All Sub Guide. The West Coast Los Angeles HD channels are still listed in the Channel List as Spot-Beam.

Well the changes needed for Dish DNS weren't there and this is business day 11 out 14 days for the DNS channels to be turned on. Since it appears that channel changes happen on Wednesday, Dish is not going to make its promise. What a shock.
