I don't think 20 a month for the DVR is unreasonable. Since it will be the only receiver in the house you can probably say goodbye to the mirroring fees for your other active receivers. I have 2 other TV's in the house besides the main one, so I'll save 10 bucks a month on mirroring right...

Yes, I would love a rent to own option. That being said, I'll definitely be doing 1 DVR + 2 Clients. I'm assuming the mirroring fee will no longer exist since you only have 1 real receiver so that helps keep the cost down. Pretty much my wife is dying for this thing. VOOM needs to make this...

Isn't this more or less what VOOM is promising with their box? I mean this has a lot of bells and whistles, but that's stuff VOOM can easily throw in over time (pictures, mp3's, home networking; etc)

There is the new version of the HomePlug ethernet technology that uses your home's electrical wiring. The 1.0 version doesn't have the bandwidth, but the new 2.0 is being called HomePlug AV and it's supposed to be able to stream live HD content over your home's electrical wiring just using wall...

They won't tie the DVR to a programming package like that. At least I don't believe they will, and I think 24.99 is probably the max they'd charge per month. I guess I'd say that 29.99 per month is reasonable if that includes all of the thin clients and no mirroring fees. It would be nice...

I don't know how they'll do it, and I wouldn't expect it to be 9.99 per month. It would still be a great deal at 19.99 a month or even 24.99 a month.
