Reccomended motor for Geosat 90cm dish

I've used a DG-380 with mine for the last few years and it works when its -20 outside, or 100. And I've never had to tweak the aim. It is solid and pretty fast. Seems to really be accurate.

    DMS SG6100

I didn't like the SG6000, at least the first run of them. I tried 3 of them when they first came out years ago and they all didn't do USALS well at all with the Traxis 3500 or the Prof 3500 I had at the time. They would end up being about 3-5 degrees off at the far ends of the arc, if I remember...

    I need a 1.2 M offset dish

You could also rent a u-haul pickup truck for a few hours and get it. Those trucks aren't too much - at least the last time I got one a few years ago to get rolls of sod to my house from home depot. I wish I could get a 1.2m dish for less than $200. I was quoted from Sat/AV $200 just for...

What is best FTA Motor for 90cm Dish

DG 380 with a GeosatPro 90cm for the last few years and no issues at all. Seems to have a pretty fine resolution and has worked when we were 20 below zero. We've gotten 80mph winds and it's still working. I make sure to steer the sides of the dish towards the wind just in case. :D

    HD in 3MHz

I'm not seeing it with my Micro with a 90cm here.

Very happy with GeoSatPro and SatAV :)

I started a thread about the auto-correcting... my motor would go crazy every 2 or so seconds on a loss of signal if I feed went off. http://www.satelliteguys.us/threads/290653-Motor-goes-back-and-forth-on-loss-of-signal I haven't checked to see if the problem went away with the latest firmware...

Denver area - giving away my 8' Laser mesh C-band dish

This is a Laser 8' mesh dish that I got a couple of years ago off of craigslist and never used. I just don't have the room to set it up where I don't have trees blocking. It is in good shape, but untested. It is un-assembled and I kept all of the hardware. Has an actuator on it too. If you...

    Repair of DG-380 motor

I've had mine just stop responding a couple of times. I sent the "Disable Limit" command to it and it always wakes up.

    Dear ol' Satmex 5

I get the video channels at 116.3 as well. And all of my other sats from 72-125w are dead on. GeoSatPro 90cm dish.

    AMC 3 67W SATMAPS!

It's coming in strong in Colorado. Signal quality is around 71% on my MicroHD. I got 88 video channels here from 11721 - 11921. They are mostly Latin american networks... all scrambled and each labeled with the network names.

Invacom QPH-031 vs. GeosatPro SL1PLL vs. Avenger PLL321S-2

I've used an Invacom LNB for many years on my motorized GeosatPro 90cm dish. But I wanted to see what all of the hype surrounding these new Ku PLL Lnbs and if I could get a better signal with them. So I purchased the PLL321S and the SL1PLL last week. They arrived this week and I was ready to...

WHY IS 103 BEING SO DIFFICULT?

I have a 90cm Geosat Pro dish here near Denver and I can get the transponder that has the west and mountain feeds just fine. But the east one is a pain. Even correcting for the skew makes it where it breaks up or is mia at times depending on if there's clouds. I've spent HOURS trying to dial in...

    ANIK-F3 using INVACOM QPH-031?

Oh, that could be true then. I thought that low of a frequency would be the 118.8 sat instead of 119. How low of frequencies does 119 Ku go? I thought it started at 12200 or something like that...

New Product - GEOSATpro SL1PLL - World's First PLL KU Standard LNBF

You are right about the drifting. I'm seeing about a 4 Mhz drift on mine when I do blindscans. I'll give the SL1PLL a shot. ;-)

    ANIK-F3 using INVACOM QPH-031?

I disagree. It seems there's a wider range on the one I have then since I can scan all the way down to 11715 on the circular side up to 12486 pointed at 118.8. With the LO set to 11250, 11898 R (set to V on the MicroHD) comes in just fine on the circular output. CNN scans right in with...

New Product - GEOSATpro SL1PLL - World's First PLL KU Standard LNBF

How would this compare to an Invacom QPH-031 lnb? Would it perform better with linear signals?

    ANIK-F3 using INVACOM QPH-031?

I can get that net that was named above on 118.8 with my QPH-031. I just made sure to use the circular port and it comes right in at 75 quality on the MicroHD. Very compressed and blurry though. ;-)

Have any of you compared the X3 to the MicroHD as to reception quality and blind scanning quality?

Interesting Lesson In Live Event Coverage

I've seen LiveU in person. It seems to only do HD quality if there's minimal camera panning and it gets a cell tower that has plenty of bandwidth - which is rare here. There can also be a big time delay in the feed it sends (up to 10 seconds from what I saw). I was helping a friend of mine...

Special Deal: GEOSATpro microHD - Product Release Special 6/20 - 6/30/2012

Stargaze, you are mistaken. The dates have been on his site for a while. I saw it weeks before he was allowing preorders and after when I made my preorder within the first hour of him taking them. He had always warned everyone about this delay in the anticipation thread too. And to NOT get...
