In Memorium: Rich ( Anole) Steincross Has Passed Away. May He Rest in Peace

Very sad indeed. And make no mistake this was his family, just wish I could have known him outside this forum, as he appeared to be a very helpful and sincere individual with a keen sense of humor. RIP

Contest: Enter to Win a Titanium Satellite PLL C-band LNBF - Ends Oct. 20, 2014

Beggars cannot be choosy, except in this case I guess. I would love to any of them but I could use a C2PLL Wideband since I have 2 recievers. From what I have read any of these should improve the performance of my 8ft'er. Thanks for another contest, Brian.

Contest: Enter to Win an Amiko mini HD SE from Titanium Satellite - Ends 5/27/2014

I started in the fall of 2002. The best entertainment money I have ever spent. Back then I was single and loved watching all the different games I could find. Now that I am married I still look for sports but also use my system for my 7yo to watch some kids programming (mainly PBS).

Contest: Enter to Win a Titanium Satellite C1PLL LNBF and CS1 Conical Scalar - Ends 12/16/2013 Midni

In our family we would exchange gifts on Christmas Eve and Santa would deliver his gifts for Christmas mornings. I was always impatient, wanting to know what my Christmas Eve gifts were. One year I was home alone for a short period of time and I took a peak of my Christmas Eve gifts by pealing...

    KU PBS feeds

K says he is in Vt. 125 is far to the west for him. At that extreme, the dish should be changing elevation more than azimuth when rotating via the motor.

TFC West on Galaxy 19 silent.

It is offered online now. You can deal directly with tfc.tv or google "tfc iptv". There is a dealer in Arizona that offers a box that will stream the signal to your tv (works sort of like roku, but the box is dedicated to tfc). Either way you can get tfc for as little as 12.99 a month...

    Help about philippine FTA

I think anole's recommendation is probably the best plan, but I am not a 100% certain satav ships overseas. You might contact them and even if they do not ship overseas they might be able to recommend a vendor for you. One questions I have, is the cband and lnbf you found for sale in Manila, is...

    Help about philippine FTA

Looking at the lyngsat page you referenced (free tv Philippnes), it appears most of the free signals are c-band signals. That is a different frequency from ku band and requires a larger dish (minimum 6 feet but the larger the better). In addition to a larger dish, you will need a c-band lnb...

    LPB Gone? SES2

When LPB is showing La. sports (usually high schools), they drop the pbs signals and feed the game to the stations. You can expect the pbs channels to be out anytime (as in sporadic) from Friday night to Sunday morning during football season and also during basketball as well.

As my mother-in-law would say, Salamat.

    Dish alignment at 19.2E & 13E

If you decide to go for some of the satellites over the Atlantic, you might need a Universal lnb. I believe 30w is such a satellite.

Contest: Enter to Win a GEOSATpro microHD STB and SL1PLL LNBF - Ends 5/31/2013 Midnight PDT

My mother was one of a baker's dozen of kids, so I had lots of aunts, uncles and a LOT of cousins. Most every summer we would have a reunion at the lake near my mom's childhood home. It was a great relief from the Texas heat every time we had the reunion at the lake. My cousins and I would...

    NBC Sports Network

The networks also get paid by the stations for carriage rights. Used to be the other way, the stations got comp(ensation) for carrying a network.

    9120 Motor Install Question

I bought a sg-9120 motor a couple months ago or longer and remember shortly after buying it a thread here that discussed the fact some of the chart information for the declination setting or one of the other settings was either wrong or the indications on the motor themselves were wrong. I am...

    Rescued a dish

Before they started cutting, should of flashed your EPA-Enforcement Officer card and told them they could not just dump a dish like that and told them you would be back with a hazmat crew to take it away.

Are the old Primestar dishes any good for FTA?

97w is not really a challenge, when I point out west to 121, 123, and 125, my original equiped dish pulls in some signals that my adapted dish is not able to pull in.

Are the old Primestar dishes any good for FTA?

I have 3 84e's, one has the original lnb, one has a stock purchased lnb, and one has the two lnb's. Based on my experience the original lnb's are the most efficient if they are still operating. You can try to do some precision work with the feedhorn and a new lnb to make a hybrid unit, just...

Fortec 120cm fine adjustment on the cheap and easy

Mad, it looks like the arm for your lnb is upside down. If it were flipped over then you could move the lnb back to the end of the arm and not have to use the block. I have a 90cm dish but the arm has that same bend as your dish and the directions showed it opposite as the way you have yours...

Motor for a Winegard 1m dish

Thanks for the reply and the pics, tede. I not really sure what issue the guy in the review at the vendor's website had an issue with so I just wanted to double check. That dish looks a lot like my 90cm (which has been a gerat dish) but these days I am missing a few feeds due to s-2 or weaker...

Motor for a Winegard 1m dish

tede, I read the review the review that was shown on the page linked by the OP. The reviewer liked the dish but was critical of the mount saying he had to adjust the mount. Did you have to do anything to the mount itself aside to the tube to make it work with a motor? thanks for any help you...

    Where to put inline amlifier

I agree, inline amps are a waste of time and money, from my experience. Also, Brian (SatellieAV) is not just some dude, he is a dealer (been in the business for quite awhile) and you can pretty much take his advice to the bank.

    Technical Question

I can aim a dish at a brick wall and get those readings, your switch is probably kaput. Like some suggested, bypass the switch and see what goes. Sorry did not see your last entry until I posted the above. Tried to delete but unsuccessful. At least you got your signal back.
