    How is the merger working out now? Oh to pull the wool over one's eyes..... The continued unfortunate outcome of the Sirius/XM merger will hopefully be something that people don't forget...but probably will.

    Like I said...this merger is a bailout of bad business decisions (gambling-by signing multi-million dollar contracts). The US needs to stop doing this. If these two satellite radio companies fail, and there is a demand for satellite radio, other companies will fill that demand.

    What the FCC does will be interesting. Question...for those that think that regular radio, HD radio, etc is in direct competition with sat radio...do you also think that D* and E* are in direct competition with your local television stations?

    I didn't see that either, but that apparently was one argument. As I said, the DOJ must have believed that sat radio was doomed without this merger.

    There are no positives here for the long term. Short term, yes. The only way that I see this getting approved was that the DOJ believes that sat radio needed this merger to stay alive. Now, IF (and that is a bif IF) regular radio and Sat radio continue to be in direct competition as they are...
