AMIKO Manual for DM3800 DiSEqC Motor

That worked just fine. A few copy and paste actions in Google Translate did the trick. Thanks!

AMIKO Manual for DM3800 DiSEqC Motor

Today, I saw that the "West" LED was blinking twice after both "East" and "West" LEDs flashed normally three times. I've look around, but cannot find the included manual. It's around here somewhere, but I'm not yet sure where. For the moment, is there an accessible PDF copy?

    AMIKO DM3800 DiSEqC Motor Issues

I was able to figure out the problem. The cause was a defective LNB. Replacing the LNB fixed the issue. I noticed that if I disconnected the cable that led from the LNB to the motor, the motor would work just fine. Connecting the cable caused the problems mentioned above to occur. I still took...

    AMIKO DM3800 DiSEqC Motor Issues

I believe I've got an extra power supply that just might work; it has 2 amps. I will also try replacing the ends of the cables to see if that helps as well. I use high quality cable with compression connectors, so hopefully replacing the ends allows me to get more use out of this cable.

    AMIKO DM3800 DiSEqC Motor Issues

I've been using the power supply that came with the Amiko Mini. It's only 1.5 amps. I didn't consider that the power supply may have been too weak. I'll check the voltage with the meter later today while I perform some more tests. I'm starting to feel some confidence that this isn't a motor...

    AMIKO DM3800 DiSEqC Motor Issues

Update: I went outside and used two new cables, one went from the LNB to the motor and the other went from the motor to the receiver. At first, the motor would turn the dish fine, but then, as the dish would move, it would start to gradually move slower until it came to a stop. There would be no...

    AMIKO DM3800 DiSEqC Motor Issues

I recently purchased an Amiko Mini H265, which arrived yesterday. I’ve been using an Amiko DM3800 motor since October 2020 and it has worked great. However, yesterday, something happened. When I connected the coaxial cable to the Amiko, everything was working fine. About 15 minutes afterward, I...

OTHER Trouble Aiming 1.2m Dish with Amiko DM 3800 Motor

Yes, it did. I've been having a hard time recently trying to set it up, now I think I believe I know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks!

OTHER Trouble Aiming 1.2m Dish with Amiko DM 3800 Motor

I actually didn't see that. I'll give it a read. I know I'm doing something worng, most likely my declination angle is off. Is it even possible to aim/tune with Nimiq 4 at 82W? Lyngsat shows nothing but transponders for Bell TV. I assume I could pick them up, but I'm not entirely sure. All of...

OTHER Trouble Aiming 1.2m Dish with Amiko DM 3800 Motor

For nearly 7 hours today, I tried to aim my GEOSATpro 1.2m dish with an Amiko DM 3800 motor, and got absolutely nowhere. I believe my declination angle is completely wrong, but I don't know how to calculate it. The manual for the motor says "35º-DECLINATION ANGLE," which for my location would be...

OTHER Looking for DiSEqC Motor for 1.2m Dish

Apparently the brand is Amiko. I've heard of them, but not sure how they are quality-wise

OTHER Looking for DiSEqC Motor for 1.2m Dish

Christmas, eh? I was hoping to find one before the election just so I could easily swing the arc for various election feeds. I was looking around and came across this on Amazon: Does this seem legitimate? EDIT: Turns out the seller is also on eBay. They're based out of Quebec. I believe I...

OTHER Looking for DiSEqC Motor for 1.2m Dish

I am having lots of trouble finding a DiSEqC motor for my GEOSATpro 1.2m dish. I’ve been looking for one recently because I have enough money to spend for one. The only problem is that the only listing I could find on eBay was for a motor that can only support a dish up to 36". I don’t know of...

OTHER Signal Strength Weaker at Night

    Since I moved the dish, all are coming in very strong and without interruption. Here are my readings: 11916 V: 70% 12145 H: 73% 12155 H: 72% 12163 H: 73% 12169 H: 73% 12180 V: 85% (max)

OTHER Signal Strength Weaker at Night

I got the problem fixed! I was able to move the dish to a new location since I have it on a temporary mount. After spending a few minutes finding AMC 21, I fine tuned everything, and I'm happy to say all signals are back and at their normal levels! Here are the readings: 11916 V: 71% 12145 H...

OTHER Signal Strength Weaker at Night

I did some careful examination yesterday. The problem is still persisting. I checked LNBs (I have 3 total,) cables, and the dish itself. I ruled out all 3 because: (1) I used a new LNB, (2) the cables had no kinks or breaks, and (3) the dish is not warped. I even moved the dish around because I...

OTHER Signal Strength Weaker at Night

Before I upgraded to a 1.2m in April, I had a 32" dish that I used for multiple satellites, mainly 87W, 103W, and 125W. I’ve has it since 2016. I could easily move it since it was so small, but I can’t do that with the 1.2m, though I kept the small dish on 125W 99% of the time. I could only...

OTHER Signal Strength Weaker at Night

UPDATE 6:28pm ET: I just finished spending about 20 minutes doing some fine adjusting. I believe that I possibly fixed the issue. I’m not sure what I did except move the dish a bit and straighten it (it was a bit lopsided). The Q readings seem to be back to how they were before last week. Here...

OTHER Signal Strength Weaker at Night

I’ll have to check my aim the next warm day we have. Tomorrow is supposed to be 62F, so maybe I’ll check then. I did another blind scan, and as expected, all are strong as of 5:00pm ET. They won’t be like that for long. Here are my readings: •11916 V: 35%-51% •12145 H: 63%-70% •12155 H: 42%-53%...

OTHER Signal Strength Weaker at Night

No chance. I have adjusted the dish every day for the last week with no change in results. At first, I thought that was what happened, so I went out the next day and adjusted it, and everything came back fine, but not as strong as they used to be. Since then, I've been having trouble receiving...

OTHER Signal Strength Weaker at Night

I replaced the new LNB with the old one, but won't be able to get a good reading until after the rain stops. It seems, however, that the Q did not change when I replaced it. Shortly before the rain, 12180 V was 83%-85% Q and 12155 H was 43%-51%Q, which seemed the same as the last week. All other...

OTHER Signal Strength Weaker at Night

    I should’ve listed both but forgot. I did a blind scan during the day yesterday and one just now. They’re below. •11916 V: Day - 56%-67% Night - 0%-14% •12145 H: Day - 42%-70% Night - 0% •12155 H: Day - 14%-45% Night: 0% •12163 H: Day -09%-56% Night: 0% •12169 H: Day - 39%-63% Night: 0% •12180...

OTHER Signal Strength Weaker at Night

No, but I do plan to buy one soon. This one is a cheap Avenger LNB, like the last one, but at least the last one worked. I’ve had that one since 2016. Unless it rains, I’ll go outside and replace the LNB with the old one and see if that helps.

OTHER Signal Strength Weaker at Night

About one week ago, I replaced my old Avenger LNB with an Avenger Universal LNB with dual outputs. Ever since then, however, my signal strength has been noticeably weaker and sporadic. I have a GEOSATpro 1.2m dish parked on 125W for the PBS feeds. Before I replaced the LNB, these were the Q...

    OTHER Basic DVB-S/S2 Receiver

I'm getting aggravated that I'm not getting Decades, Heroes, & Movies! anymore on SES 1; because of that, I'm thinking about ordering this receiver. From what I've heard, it performs great on these 3 channels without any problems; by the way, I could care less about its "supposed" ability to...
