OTHER C Band Orthomode Feed. How do you switch LNB's?

Use a powered multi-switch with the paired ports modded to provide 18VDC to both of the C-band orthomode LNBs. Run the KU LNBF on an unmodded high band port. I remember some threads years ago with Anole, Magic Static and others regarding their ortho switching hardware.

OTHER Switch for 4 port dvb card

If you use a stacked type LNBF, then you could use a single output model into a 1 in, 4 out, 3GHz splitter (or instead, use a 4 output stacked model eliminating the need for the splitter) to distribute the Horizontal and Vertical signals to each of the 4 tuners. If you wish to add another fixed...

OTHER Switch for 4 port dvb card

A single port LNBF with voltage polarity selection isn't the best choice to share with 4 tuners. This type of LNBF can only output one polarity at a time. If one tuner selects a horizontal polarity transponder, the other three tuners will only have horizontal polarity transponders available...

Edision Edison Mio Has No Signal

Each switch type has an application. In my experience with two port switching, I have found the opposite to be true. 22KHz switches are much more reliable. The decoding is simple, the tone is either present or not and the amplitude is not as critical as with modulated tone sensing for reliable...

Edision Edison Mio Has No Signal

Remove the 22khz switch and connect the STB only to the ASC1, with no LNBFs connected. Change transponder polarities on the STB. Does the ASC1 front panel display show and track the polarity changes?

Edision Edison Mio Has No Signal

Is the KU LNBF mounted on the BUD or do you use a separate KU dish with motor? Your current wiring path is correct and will work fine if both C-band and KU-band LNBFs are on the same motorized BUD. Bypass the switch and run the coax directly from the ASC1 LNB port to the KU KNBF and test for...

Edision Edison Mio Has No Signal

JFOK, Isn't your system wiring like this: STB >>> 22KHz >>>(One port to KU and other port to ASC1)? If so, the STB controls the switch. The ASC1 has control of the C-band motor and polarity setting, with no control or signal path on KU band. To test the KU, bypass the 22KHz switch and direct...

With the ASC1 in line, does the ASC1's front panel display the polarity changes that tracks with he STB selections? - If so, measure the ASC1's LNB voltage for both polarities. - If not, check the ASC1's LNB Voltage setting to confirm it is 13v Vertical / 18v Horizontal. BTW... the...

    OTHER Adding Motor

Consider inserting a quality 3GHz splitter ( 2 port / 2 port power passing) at the STB. One coax leg to the motor and the other coax leg to the multi-switch. Slightly higher insertion loss, but simple to install and less coax to run. Maybe a wash in the total attenuation.

    OTHER STBs with Web GUI?

Ran my C-Band dish remotely between my home and business over about 1/2 mile. Passed 4K and controlled the dish positioning and polarity via IP using a point to point Ubiquity system, an Edision Mio OS and a web based GUI. Example: A typical HD service uses 6-9Mbps. A demuxed 4K service could...

OTHER Aligning a T-90 Toroidal Dish

The issue with the T90 model in North America is that the gain is equivalent to a 76cm dish. Many years ago, I experimented with a T90 and wasn't satisfied with the performance. It was fine for stronger transponders, but not adequate for weaker transponders. No doubt that the T90 is fine in...

OTHER What happened to my motor?

Measure the DC power at the motor on the coax coming from your STB. Horizontal polarity voltage? Vertical polarity voltage? Measure under load if possible. Disconnect the coax at the motor that loops through to the LNBF? Does the motor move with the manual button with LNBF coax disconnected...

Titanium Satellite ASC1 Help Needed. Funky capacitor got the stink

Running a polarity servo? If so, disconnect the servo wires at the ASC1 rear terminals and reboot. Sounds like a high current draw or short on the servo. The capacitor swap was from the factory on all reworked Rev 2 boards. Not elegant, but it was functional. From the description of loose...

Often passive switches provide unreliable switching or voltage drops affecting LNB polarity selection. Can be problematic with mutiple STBs on separate power sources. Usually they work fine.

Titanium Satellite ASC1 and C1PLL damaged by Lightning.

No, ASC1 repair is not a flat fee. Charge for components and/or repair time. The cost is based on if board(s) swap or component level repair. There is no bench testing fee.

Titanium Satellite ASC1 and C1PLL damaged by Lightning.

Lightning damage may be contained to a single component or damage multiple PCBs and/or the display. Best to send the complete unit in for bench testing. Will advise on repair. If it is advised to repair, shipping is likely the most expensive consideration. Email: support@titaniumsatellite.com

Edision Edision OS mio+ 4K HDMI issue
