GEOSATpro microHD: No LNB Voltage Output

Yes, there is a setting for the LNB power. It's ON.

GEOSATpro microHD: No LNB Voltage Output

That's disappointing. I hate to discard things that have minor problems. The microHD has the best tuning indicator I've seen for dish orientation. It has a 10-segment time-division display that helps you get the dish oriented dead centre on the signal.

GEOSATpro microHD: No LNB Voltage Output

My problem symptom is simple. I have no LNB output voltage from this microHD. I have proved the receiver works fine if voltage is available to supply to the LNB. To do this test, I connected my Openbox S9 and used its loop through connector to connect the microHD. The microHD then works fine on...

    Edision Service scan

Arlo is correct. For whatever reason, you are looking at 103W and not 101W. You can tell by the exact SIDs being received. The transponder on 103W is all encrypted which is why you aren't seeing any video.

AMIKO Amiko Mini 4K UHD S2X FTA Receiver DVB-S2X H.265 HEVC HDMI Issue

Considering the trouble you're experiencing Lone Gunman, time for a modern receiver? The Amiko is not so pricey. And it sounds easy to use. I keep my S9 for backup. I'm still wondering if I can repair my GSP microHD since it may only need the chip that supplies the LNB voltage. I liked it a lot...

    Openbox openbox

My GSP micro HD no longer outputs voltage so has effectively died. I tried to repair it myself and failed. I have no schematic diagrams. Sending it away to be repaired can't be justified when a brand new Amiko box is less than $100. The S9 is still working great after setting up yesterday...

Funny you mention it. I just pulled out of storage my ancient Openbox S9 and I'm trying it out with the modern transponders.

    Edision SES-2 87.1W reception

11960 H 30000 is listed in Lyngsat as CNN Newsource feeds. 11780 V 5000 is definitely the strongest on 87W. Use it for dish orientation. But it won't scan in since it's a data tp. Or orient using 11960 H 30000. DON'T use 11811 H 11150 for initial dish orientation since you must be precisely...

    Edision SES-3 at 103W

On 103W Ku, 12080 H 29970 is the toughest to receive reliably. 12145 V 20000 is stronger and easier to lock. Right now, 12080 H 29970 is 10.1 dB and I'm viewing it fine. 12145 V 20000 is 4.7 dB stronger at 14.8 dB. Your LNB is fine. I wouldn't bother changing it. You should be able to receive...

Receiving both now. TP5 is 7.2 dB and TP18 is 9.2 dB. I'm in southern British Columbia. My dish is 1-metre. LNB is Invacom QPH-031.

    Edision OS Mio 4K firmware/OS

I added a timer and programmed my Mio+ to record a 30-minute show. It started at the correct time and recorded for the full 30 minutes. I scanned through the show and its video and audio are fine. I am using a 1 TB external hard disk. Do you have lots of available storage space on your mass...

You don't have to manually change the date. The date/time gets updated automatically as soon as you are connected to the Internet. Setup > System > Customize > Time synchronization method ===> Internet (ntp)

I do as the guys describe above using my Edision OS Mio+ receiver. OTHER Difficulty locking onto FTA signals on Galaxy-31 with small dish

In that area of the sky (near 121W), the strongest Ku transponders for me on the west coast are on 117W Eutelsat West A and 123W Galaxy 18. Check for the frequencies on lyngsat.com.

I've often thought of doing the same: going to a local hill for a day's outing to try installing a dish to receive satellites I can't receive at home. It's doable but a bit of work considering you need to take it away at the end of the day. Only you can decide if it's a worthwhile activity. It...

    [Viewsat] DMS International SG-2100 parts?

If any H-H motor is repairable, especially for lower cost, do so. When I last searched nobody actually has stock of any model including the site mentioned in Post #2 above.
