    Edision USALS motor

I've done the same thing myself. Now it's one of the first things I check, along with the 22kHz setting.

It looks like you have your longitude set for 81.5° East instead of West.

    AMIKO Amiko A3 Owners Thread

I can understand the reluctance to buy another Amiko receiver if the A3 is your only experience with Amiko. I liked the A3 but haven't hooked one up in years. I have two A3s as well as an A3 Combo 4K and all do exactly what they were advertised to do. Since the A3 is a computer running...

AMIKO My new FTA setup seems to be signal blind?

What transponders are you using to aim the dish? For SES3 I initially use 12145 V 20000 and on G19 I use 12152 H 20000. The Amiko displays a quality of 5% until an active transponder is selected. On my Amiko 4K, selecting transponder 1 (11730 H 4000) on SES3 shows 5% quality. Changing to...

    AMIKO New to Ku Band

LPB PBS is on 87W. The receiver does not know what satellite you're actually aimed at, only what you selected. When a blind scan is performed, it assigns the received signals to the satellite you've told it you were aimed at.

Might want to edit that TP to 12152 H 20000.

Thanks, but that won't be necessary. It's only cosmetic so I'll just fill it with epoxy. Ernie

OTHER Recommend a new FTA reciever

I received my Mini 4K S2X this afternoon. I disconnected the NanoHD, connected the Mini 4K, made a backup, and began setup. It's working well. Can the AMIKO 3606-3612 ALI EDITOR that I've been using for the NanoHD and HD-8240 be used for the Mini 4K SX? It appears to work but before I write...

    OTHER New To The Hobby

Looking from the back of the dish, skew rotation is clockwise. The skew on my fixed dish for 97W is about 21° CCW looking from the front, adjusted for the strongest signal using my meter.

I think the link above for sathit.com needs the "n" added to the address to make it sathint.com.

AMIKO Amiko Nano HD vs Mini HD

The original name of this Amiko receiver was MicroHD but since the GEOSATpro microHD was already on the market, Joe at FridgeFTA renamed it to NanoHD when he began importing it for sale in the Americas. That avoided any confusion between the two receivers.

    OTHER Best Blind Scan Receiver

I haven't used either of those receivers so my opinion is based on my personal experience with other Amiko receivers (and the support provided here by KE4EST) as well as what I've read on other sites about the other two models. Others will have different opinions but If I were looking for...

    OTHER Best Blind Scan Receiver

I also recommend the Amiko receivers. If you don't need a 4K receiver, I'd go with an Amiko Mini HD265 to get the latest h.265 capability. KE4EST can help you with that.

    AMIKO Amiko A3 Owners Thread

The last time I restored one of my A3s was 10/05/17 to see if the slow remote response would improve, which it did. Here's part of a post I made at another site: + + + + + + + + + + "BTW, I did replace 2.0.78 on the A3 that had been running it since January. Instead of using the v2.0.72...

    AMIKO Amiko A3 Owners Thread

The Spark2Editor I have only works with the .xml files created by the Database Transform export function. I export the database to a network drive, use a PC to edit the files on the network drive and then import them back into the A3. If all the changes I made are satisfactory then I make a new...

    AMIKO Amiko A3 Owners Thread

I've got two A3's here (three, if you count the A3 Combo) that I use regularly and have very few problems with. I don't blind scan very often so that may be why I have so few problems with them. For me at least, the A3 is not unique in the "lock up in blind scan" problem. I've had problems with...

    OTHER ICECRYPT S3750CHD Satellite Receiver

From what Rick posted, the engineers told him the new Icecrypt receiver is an redesign of a previous model that was "similar" to the Alien 2. Some of the things added were the RF modulator and software that supported 16APSK. As I've already said, my Alien 2 does (or rather DID) do 16APSK...

    AMIKO Amiko A3, Spark2 upgrade

Judging from quite a few messages I read while searching for the 2.0.78 file, North America is not the only area having a problem with Amiko support. A3 owners in Europe and the Middle East reported being unable to upgrade from the Spark servers so they were also looking for the FACTORY firmware...

    AMIKO Amiko A3, Spark2 upgrade

After several attempts over the last few days and some experimenting (as well as using the NAND recovery Joe provided to get back to 2.0.72 after each attempt) I was able to get the v2.0.78 currently on the Amikostb site (spark2_mini_2.0.78_cis_g18ref-ota-20160612.zip) to complete the...

    OTHER ICECRYPT S3750CHD Satellite Receiver

The new Icecrypt receiver has the same Linux kernel, U-boot, and Dbase versions as the Alien 2. It is shipping with software version 1.2.86. When I saw the Icecrypt release announcement saying it supported 16APSK, I reconnected my Alien 2 to check it out. My Alien 2 has version v1.2.72...

OK. That explains it. As soon as you get an Americas file and get it loaded be sure to make a full backup after the receiver reboots. It will save a lot of problems later on.

    AMIKO Amiko A3 Owners Thread

I hope you don't take this the wrong way but backups are essential, especially with Android or Linux receivers with customized software. The first thing I saw in the box of every Amiko receiver I got (from the first Alien 1 to the sample A3 Combo) was the reminder to make a backup of the factory...
