    OTHER discrepancy between lyngsat.com and ftalist.com ?

On some of the older receivers you had to keep one transponder in the list or your satellite list would be corupted (azbox for sure). That isn't always the case any more. A good strong active transponder will help locate the satellite, but once you have the dish aimed and peaked you should be...

Titanium Satellite Titanium ASC 1 gone bad after 1 month in use

I have to agree. My ASC1 has been in service for over 5 years without issue. You can see by my avatar its pushing a very heavy dish.

Titanium Satellite Titanium ASC 1 gone bad after 1 month in use

A simple code is really not that simple. The code is actually a symptom of a problem. A thermostat code could be caused by a bad radiator cap. The auto parts store will read the code, print out a description, and give you a list of common causes along with part numbers that they can sell you...

OTHER Stab HH90 high pitch squeal

That squeal is bad news. You likely have a shaft that is spinning inside of a gear. If it is under warranty, replace it.

    AMIKO Amiko A3 Owners Thread

I have been following this thread since the first post. I must say that some of the horror stories scared me off for a time, but I finally decided to bite the bullet and order one on Black Friday (or there abouts). I didn't even hook it up to my dish for the first two weeks, but still used it...

AMIKO My A3 just did it again.

I would blame android (and google) before I would blame Amiko. Just look at the issues people have with their phones. As I stated before I have been lucky, but I don't push my luck either. I used to use an Azbox back in the day. I cant tell you how many times I had to wipe it and start over...

AMIKO My A3 just did it again.

I guess I have been pretty lucky. The worst thing that happens to me is that I may not have sound when I boot up. A quick reboot takes care of this. Although I usually scribble my grocery list on the back of a piece of junk mail while I am watching tv (don't have a keyboard for the A3).

AMIKO New Firmware Released for the Nano, Nice update!!

The 1.176 file will not work in the HD8240. It is meant for a different receiver with a different processor. You already have the latest file in your HD 8240.

AMIKO New Firmware Released for the Nano, Nice update!!

Firmware version 1.6.09 is for the HD 8240 or the Mini HD, not a Nano HD. What receiver do you Have?

The bootloader is included with the file. Maybe you are using the wrong file. I updated with USB and had no issues whatsoever.

OTHER X2 Premium > Vbox & USALS motor!

A 22khz switch works with most systems when putting the switch before the motor. If the X2 supports a 22khz switch you should be fine.

Amiko Mini HD SE North America

No, no, no, and priced way to high (pretty near a C note). Don't insult yourself by thinking about it. This is basically an updated version of the previous Mini HD with an updated processor, and a new gui. It is bare bones, probably only 64 sats, and a better than killer blind scan. I am...

    Amiko Alien 2 activation

Amiko Americas has spent time and resources developing this receiver for the NA market, don't you think its fair for them to only support their own customers? This is becoming a common practice, given the amount of clones out there. Their customers are very well supported.

    Amiko Alien 2 activation

Actually the Azbox is supposed to do IPTV but it didn't catch on over here. There really weren't any servers set up for the states. Some of the guys here used to get some European stuff (and still may). The issue with doing a factory reset on the Amiko boxes, is that you will lose a...

    Amiko Alien 2 activation

Make a backup copy of your original firmware and you should be safe. I have a nano HD and was given the same warning, but the system will let you backup your firmware as well as channels. As far as the activation goes, in addition to what Titanium posted, it uses your IP address to Identify...

AZBOX Premium Plus HD - Need help with WIFI

Im not confused at all. Things don't always work as they are supposed to. Water will even flow uphill (on a windy day). That solution worked for me, and it appears it worked for Migold also.

AZBOX Premium Plus HD - Need help with WIFI

I'm assuming you loaded the 9.5402 firmware. I had the same problem when I loaded that on my elite (no internet connectivity with a wired connection). Its possible that there is something missing in that firmware that existed in a previous version (after all its only a patch) that you removed...

AZBOX how do you input a bunch of satellites that were accidently deleted?

I always seem to get into trouble when deleting satellites. The Azbox gets a little confused and starts doing things on its own. You might be further ahead to format the application area and restore the backup files.
