GEOSATpro Geosatpro Micro HD scan problems

OP doesn't have a problem, the MicroHD just plain sucks for blind scanning. Problems since day 1 that I've owned it (not long after it was released) including missing carriers that are close together (like when you have lots of news feeds lit up on a transponder and it only locks some but not...

Is the MicroHD still being supported by the company that produced it?

now that it's been 2 months, is there any update about new firmware possibility? Last I saw, Brian said looking at BISS 1 addition to the microhd in one thread, while adding in another thread "We have included BISS key entry on the GEOSATpro DSR100/200 and DVR1100 receivers." I've seen...

GEOSATpro MicroHD can't decode video on this transponder...

nothing wrong with the current situation. They are both leasing sat time from the same provider and that frequency on the other polarity may not be available for lease -- or lease at a much more expensive rate per MHz. The main thing about them is how close they are together in frequency so it...

    GEOSATpro BISS Encryption

It's actually fairly common as I see BISS quite a bit in my occasional video feed searching when coming across an encrypted occasional feed. I think FOX Sports uses this to encrypt their college sports feeds, ESPN might -- it's been awhile since I looked at at the info on an encrypted ESPN feed...

GEOSATpro microHD - 32APSK / MIS / VCM Support Announcement

I think it's worth it for signal investigations and for processing some data feeds, but that's just me. ;) for the vast majority of FTA'ers, having a 6925 is bigtime overkill when you have the microhd or under $100 PC cards that do DVB-S2 modes that are commonly used for video/audio.

GEOSATpro microHD - 32APSK / MIS / VCM Support Announcement

no immediate danger - the vast majority of video and audio is within the reach of the microhd and a channel editor for it and should be for years. it's just one or two "oddballs" that the microhd can't receive and those are occasional feeds anyway.

    GEOSATpro Recording Quality

yes, run the video out of the receiver and into an external recording device (DVD burner, hard drive recorder, PC tuner card) so you can control the quality of the recording like a cable or DBS company does when they take high quality master feeds and reprocess it to lower the bandwidth needed...

GEOSATpro Advice for new MICRO HD

    1) I find satellite easiest to do, but I suppose if firmware is released and you just can't wait a day or two for the satellite stream to start sending it, you can do the USB thing. 2-4) i don't use my microhd with motors or with the LNB you describe, so I'll let others chime in 5) signal...

    GEOSATpro New Receiver?

so basically having your standard composite and component connections and a RS-232 port? Seems like mostly the MicroHD receiver with more outputs and standardized outputs at that instead of being just HDMI and composite through a breakout cable outputs like the microHD.

GEOSATpro microHD - New MediaBox Editor Studio Version is Available for Download

I just got around to downloading it. I saved my user UDF file to the USB thumb drive in preparation for editing low SR signals to test. Why is it that when imported into MES, my user UDF file local oscillators are not the custom 10000 one? Is that a known bug that MES won't read or use the...

    GEOSATpro Low SR question

the other ALI-based receiver I own won't blind-scan signals under 1000 with the new update -- it just allows you the opportunity to use the channel editor to add signals below SR 1000 and not have some issues such as the receiver rejecting the entry because the SR is out of range. Will the...

    GEOSATpro Low SR question

Now that my other ALi-based receiver released firmware that among other things supports low SR's down to 500, I am curious if that feature or work-around may ever make its way to the MicroHD. I realize the ALI chip in the microHD may not support a symbol rate that I would think is out of its...

GEOSATpro How do you enter a manual PID in the Micro

check your PM for the second example or PM me and let me know you didn't find that PM with the second example. Did you still want a TSREADER TS file sample of the 99W one???

GEOSATpro How do you enter a manual PID in the Micro

space been cleaned up (I think) for PM's. signal should be there. You said the other day you had no issues with that signal on the 8/29 firmware and before I replied back, I checked it again just to make sure I had 8/29 firmware in the microHD and the issue still existed. The signal locked...

GEOSATpro How do you enter a manual PID in the Micro

nope. I've been on 8/29 firmware since 8/29 or 8/30 (whenever the announcement came through on this site) and I still can't get the G16 Ku signal to scan without me having to manually define the channels with a channel editor. I have a 1.2m dish, invacom and I get a Level 90 Quality 71 on the...

GEOSATpro How do you enter a manual PID in the Micro

I previously PM'ed you one on Galaxy 16 Ku-band that is a good example. Based on discussion I think we had about what the receiver does in that moment between adding TP and doing the "NORMAL" scan, I think if you added a "PATIENCE" type scan mode to allow 3-4 secs for signal lock before...

GEOSATpro How do you enter a manual PID in the Micro

nope. I just assumed he's following the threads here - there certainly aren't as many as there used to be when the receiver first came out. I probably will PM in a few days unless there is a response here.

GEOSATpro How do you enter a manual PID in the Micro

any followup to finding a way to add PIDs within the receiver instead of having to use the channel editor everytime? It's starting to get really annoying with all these new signals I have been finding lately (mostly below 1250 SR) to have to use the microhd channel editor since the microHD pid...

    GEOSATpro Tnn hd feed

whew! I got black screen with audio only on both TNN HD 137W channels and thought it might an issue until I decided to check this thread again to see if there were updates. I'll have to go check out 87W in a few minutes to see how that is doing.

GEOSATpro why does the openbox s9 scan in nbc and fox on 99w but microhd won't?

I'm just saying: if you are trying to scan a locked signal such as this mux and you get "no program found" after doing the scan when you know there should be channels found and added to the receiver's memory, then turn off the MicroHD and turn it back on and hopefully it will reinitialize itself...

GEOSATpro why does the openbox s9 scan in nbc and fox on 99w but microhd won't?

I think there is a scan timebomb in the microhd. ;) I had scan problems Wednesday - I locked a signal, it didn't scan in video/audio as I expected and I was stumped as it was the first time I saw that occur. I looked at the transport stream and it had a good datastream so the video/audio...

    GEOSATpro microHD Editor Software Discussion

that makes sense! I can't think of any service on those two sats (other than one audio-only Ku-band service) that require manual PID entry - they all have signals where the microhd is able to scan to find the audio and video services and write them to memory. Manual PID in my case is used when...

    GEOSATpro microHD Editor Software Discussion

I haven't noticed if they get overwritten or not, but I'd think they would not be. What is there to overwrite a manually edited channel with? If a microhd scan found and wrote channels to memory on a particular signal, I wouldn't have a need to use an editor to add in channels, would I? ;) I...
