Thanks everyone!In my case it was with RTV on AMC3.This S2 signal for my 6 footer does have a sharp cutoff between a good sig Q70 and nothing. Until recently i have found this channel (4080) very stable even on windy,rainy days at a Q of around 70.Finnally a week or so ago i started loosing RTV...

Sometimes during bad weather when a signal is pixeling greatly my AZbox will lock up and a reboot is in order to reestablish contact! Is this a normal thing to happen?

After reading this thread and some others i have decided to continue to use my v-box (standalone)untill this issue is resolved!Havent had any problems yet using the v box as a standalone.

The v box can be used by its self! Thats how i use it.I use the vbox remote to move the dish to the satellite i want then set the AZbox to the desired channel to watch on the selected satellite.Alittle more work but not really a problem with me,Also the dish only moves when i know what satellite...

I have yet used my AZ-box to store and move satellite positions.I stored all my satellites via the v-box remote!works fine this way with few headaches.

Radar is correct on not being able to edit a satellite name!this is weird!My other three receivers which are alot cheaper than the azbox can do it though.I just delete a name and re enter it if needed!So far i havent had any need for the programs listed in the A-Z guide.

I have the exact same wd model as you and it works fine in my azbox ultra.Did you format it by using the azbox menu?

Im not sure but i think all the newer AZboxes use the same external power supply. I think the reason the external power supply fails on the high end model like the premium plus is it has more bells and whisles that draw extra current which may be just enough to overload the power suppy.

Im guessing that since i have the motor control off for settings on the AZ box and just using the vbox to control the dish i wont have the problem listed above?I was planning on using the reciever to control the dish this spring using DiSEqC 1.2 but now i may just wait and see if this bug gets...

ill have to vote for 5020 also! thats what my ultra came with and after re-doing the satellite list i have had very few negative issues with it.

many of us including i get most of what c and ku can provide with a 6 foot dish!so i would think yours would be able to do the job!no problem getting nasa here.

Well i found out a while back that its not One that is the loneliest number (three dog night) but zero is.The AZbox hates zero'sss!makes the database lists go nuts sometimes.

Yea i just love it when i do a new blindscan and many TPs are found but very few channels are produced for my channel listings.
