Channel 252 always does the trick when activating or refreshing a receiver.

Well a couple of fellow installers and Mr.Google just helped me with this : It seems that the receiver has an option to enable one-tuner operation,moreover I also learned that this missing connection causes the receiver to behave in a wrong way. Thanks to all the people who read this post.

Thanks, I am reading the guide now,I did almost everything you suggest ,except for the right side thing and I tuned to ch299 instead of 302, yes ,without the switch they get signal from both separate satellites, btw, my switch is a 22 khz,which I have used in the past.

Excuse me ,but I don´t think you can get a decent signal using Shaw direct´s 60E dish, no way, You need either a well aligned 75E or 2 1,0 m dishes, I´ve doing this for some time now.
