Correct, I have my iphone 6 jailbroke just for the hotspot feature, I am grandfathered unlimited data customer which normally blocks that feature, they had blocked facetime as well but at&t lifted that and now unlimited users can facetime as much as they want now.

Exactly, unless you jailbreak of course. My data usage varies greatly month to month(4GB one month 20+ the next) so I am still holding tight on my unlimited plan. Honestly anytime we go for a extended drive with the kids data goes through the roof... bored kids and netflix app = high data useage....

Facetime over cellular only works with data share plans on AT&T, people like me with old unlimited data plans only wifi, can of course with jailbreak... but that is a small price to pay for unlimited data.
