    My bride has had her "hotshot" for around a week now. It looks like a smartphone (touchscreen display) but hasn't changed anything on my plan as far as no data plan. It took her a few days (and a granddaughter coming over to help) and she seems to have figured it out. (again, fingers crossed).

    What's your early termination fee? It's usually $175 or so. That would get made up in about three months.

    My bride just bought a Pantech Hotshot. (verizon) It has a touch screen, but does not need a data plan, or so verizon staff have told me. I was informed it would not change my current, non-data plan and bill. (fingers crossed)
