    I'm in Houston and here, there is essentially no difference between Sprint & Verizon's 3G speeds--they both run around 1.5 mbps, which is pretty much the real-world max for EVDO Rev A. On 4G, I average around 5 mpbs but have seen as fast as 9 mbps in speed tests.

    The 3g in Lafayette is very similar to the 3g I get here in Houston. When I went "home" last month, I was getting 1.0-1.1Mb/s downstream in Lafayette. Maybe they'll bring Baton Rouge up to par. Also, FWIW, from Alexandria to Natchitoches, Sprint phones are getting 3g service from the Verizon...

    Scott, that's EXCELLENT speed. I'm in Houston and get 6-9Mb/s down and 1Mb/s up on my Evo. I haven't seen much of anything above 1Mb/s upload. It's still great since my home cable internet is 3down/1up.
