    Directv Stream vs Fubo

Thanks that was what I was wanting to know! The price difference isn't super high and I definitely want the best picture quality possible.

    Directv Stream vs Fubo

They do definitely both offer all the locals in my area. That RSN fee is a gotcha though. They don't really make that clear on their website. I guess if the price is relatively the same I think I'd rather have Directv. More channels and I've heard the picture quality is better too. Thank...

    Directv Stream vs Fubo

I'm debating between the two services on which one to get. I've had Hulu Live for awhile for NFL games, but my son would like to switch to something with the Bally sports networks so he can watch Twins games. So that would be either Directv or Fubo. Which one has the better picture quality...

Be curious to see what others think but I would bet that's your problem. Usually the routers that ISP's provide are the cheapest ones they can get their hands on.

    Cord cutting ramblings...

Any time that I've tried different streaming services I've found basically the same thing. You save a little bit of money but it's hard to beat the convenience of a good dvr and all your content in one location.

HBO Max - WarnerMedia Announces Upcoming Streaming Service

Wow. Yet another streaming service. At this point, I feel like I have to subscribe to 3 or 4 different services to get access to all the shows that I like to watch. At that point in time, might as well just stick with Dish or Directv as it's not any cheaper and it's more convenient to have...

Locast has added South Dakota to its roster

Signed up and tried it out last night. Seems to work very well. Picture quality was pretty good and there was no lip sync or buffering issues. I'm pretty impressed. I wish that it had pause and rewind functionality, but it's pretty hard to complain about free! This will make it much easier...

Cool. They added my area and have all 4 locals! I might have to sign up for the free trial some time and see what I think.

    Local Channels Cord Cutting Services

Have you checked out Fubo? I live in South Dakota and it's tough to find streaming services that offer my locals as well. Hulu has all 4. Fubo has 3, just missing ABC. And Vue has Fox and ABC. The rest don't have any of them.

    The PlayStation Vue Thread

That's too bad. I like the channel line up of PS Vue better but Hulu live has ABC, FOX, and NBC channels available here and can record from them also.

    The PlayStation Vue Thread

So they added Fox and ABC for my locals. Still no NBC or CBS. How does that work if you can't record? You just get the VOD versions of the shows you want to watch on those channels?

    PlayOn is Pretty Cool

I tried Playon once. My biggest complaint with it was max video quality was 720p. Looked terrible.

NBC on demand is no longer listed in my area if I go to www.psvue.com.

Question on new Amazon Fire TV

I will most likely be going with the new Apple TV. Mostly because all my other devices are Apple. So I will get access to my iTunes movie collection and airplay for all my ipads and iphones. Plus it sounds like it will be getting access to Amazon content soon.

Question on new Amazon Fire TV

That's what I figured. Thank you. Guess it's time for either a new fire tv or a 4k apple tv.

Question on new Amazon Fire TV

So I see that Amazon released the new Fire TV that supports 4k and HDR. I have the older generation of Fire TV that is 4k. Will the older one do HDR on Netflix or does it not support HDR at all? It sounds like the new box only adds HDR on Amazon content but I can't really find any good...

DirecTV Now strikes deal with CBS for more streaming programming

DTV Now is looking better and better. I'll be curious to see how their DVR shapes up. Does this announcement mean that they will carry all CBS content in on demand format? That would be nice. Saves from having to get an All Access subscription.

    SLING vs VU

Good to know. I didn't catch that. So that makes the price difference even larger. Thanks for pointing that out.
  24. H

    SLING vs VU

For me Vue is by far the better value. Sling is 40 dollars for orange plus blue. Plus 5 dollars each for kids channels and sports channels. Puts me at 50 dollars for sling. Plus none of the 4 major networks are available in my area with Sling so another 8 dollars a month for Hulu and 6 a...
