Don't have any promotional photos of the 90cm and 1.2m side by side. Have a few of the install here at home. Will post up over the weekend. Note: The 1.2m bracket assembly is incomplete and missing two screws installed in the center pivot holes. I'm sure Michael will find the m6 x 12mm bolts on...

New modulation types. H8PSK (Hierachical 8psk) is a transitional signal that allows both QPSK and 8PSK receivers receive programming from the same signal. Several uplinkers specifically requested this feature as they transition current broadcasters to MPEG4. H8PSK allows broadcasters to keep...

    GeosatPro Micro HD

Will be addressed in a future firmware version. The decision not to release the feature with original factory firmware is based on the fact that many critical STB functions rely on the data contained in the User Data File. We required the ability to address any bug in the firmware during early...

Review: Optibox Anaconda HD FTA Receiver

Gordon, The STi 71110 is a basic chipset designed for the consumer STB market. It does not support 4:2:2 profile. Based on the target market for this receiver, I highly doubt that a daughter board would be made available to add 4:2:2 support.

    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

This is not being done to prevent "accidental" loading of Manhattan firmware to disable another brand of receiver. Jeff made it very clear in his previous post that they are concerned about the loading of the Manhattan firmware onto other STBs. It is being done to protect their intellectual...

    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

So why are public reviews being written using private and unreleased firmware that may or may not be released? A product review should be based on the public release version that is available. PERIOD...... Reviews based on private beta testing files that are not available to the public should...

    Review of Manhattan RS-1933

Stone1150, Are you writing the code? If you are not, don't apologize for an inconvenience caused by firmware not provided by you.... I am sure that firmware will be released in due time to correct operational issues. Usually the first factory release firmware on new STBs have rough edges....

7" TFT Satellite Sat Finder Signal Meter

The unit only tunes DVBS MPEG2, so it will not tune DirecTV and will only detect the Dish Network transponders using MPEG 2. Doesn't have a channel editor, so all updating will be by manual entry. In my humble opinion, don't be a guinea pig on this device.......
