How can it give you a signal quality without a lock?

so basically its like a birdog but you can customize the settings through the menu vs having to reupload it everytime you want to change a tp. thats good though, that was really anoying about the birdog. to bad it cant control simple diseqc switch's though.

so it cant control a switch ? or drive a motor ? does it have a spectrum anaylzer built in like the trimax 2500 ? is it useless or usable ? the trimax spectrum analyzer imo isnt of any use other then a gimic.

it scans in qpsk HD and 4:2:2, just cant view them. but it doesnt lock up and freeze or anything, just no video.

yup, I have a spaun 420 uncommited 4x1 and a spaun 411 commited 4x1 cascaded, works great.

ird -> uncommited 8x1 -> commited 4x1 -> 22khz -> lnb 1 x 8 x 4 x 2 = 64 I dont think you can cascase uncommited switchs behined other uncommited switchs, but I havent tested, Ive really needed too lol. thats ALOT of lnbs, haha.

mercury II asks you if you want to save after powerscan (blidnscan) if you choose yes then it saves the channels and the tp's it found, if you choose no then neither the channels nor the tp's are saved.

some viewsats it may work with, I beleive the pvrpro that does support uncommited switchs, the 7000 does not though.

some receivers support v1.1 on legit firmware and loose the functionality when hacked firmware is loaded. many ebay ird's might come this way, uploading latest firmware from manufacturers website is a good idea imo. I wish all ird's did support v1.1, but alas not all do, its not even a manufact...

I use my dreambox for tuning, I then either record or stream it to my computer and let vlc do the decoding of the video/audio. will tsreader take a stream like vlc ? or open a saved transport stream ?

channel master does not currently support fortec mercury at all :( I have no way of getting my fortec scan from the ird to channel master, fortec does have a channel editor app, but it doesnt have an export function.

is there two outputs on this lnb ? one for ku and one for cband ? or does it use some sort of switch ?
