Going back to C/Ku big dish. Just ordered some long-overdue parts to get it receiving well again.

You would be surprised to learn how many people think that hooking cable to an HDTV is high definition! Although it looks better due to the deinterlacing and lack of visible scan lines, they think it's good enough. Unbelievable.

Unless E* does something good with the remains, I will probably re-activate all the programming I had on c-band and keep D* for the HD pack. I have a functional 4DTV system with HDD200 high-def decoder that currently is activated with Denver 5 and the NPS Absolute Digital pak.

Sorry that 40 channels of HD (with more to come) and a bunch of SD favorites including music choice is not worth $89 per month to you. It sure is to me. There is no other game in town.

I've had very few problems between my original install in March 04 until Thanksgiving. The installer swapped me out today. When I left to return to work, it began a forced download, I assume to 7.26. I'm back in business. :D

I received a download the day before Thanksgiving (Nov 23). The box crashes and locks-up shortly after the VOOM starting-up screen. I called VOOM on Thanksgiving morning. They were able to schedule a service call with the original installer on Friday. It was actually scheduled for Friday...

I'm stayin' also. VaVa VOOMing since mid March and keep D* for HD football. Yeah, baby!
