exactly justalurker.... verizon is bringing out very high speed interent (fiber) and with it their HD service. I dont want to tie myself to any company with them on the horizon.

i have a lcd projector but i dont think this is it.... my voom PQ has been fine but as of a week ago Ive started to see it. And it doesnt happen all the time.... I only notice it when closeups on faces move (when therye walking for example and the camera tries to keep but cant quite)

Well on my system its most channels.... most movie channels (voom exclusives and premiums). Doesnt happen much on the HDnews and other "non movie" exclusives.

on a 34 id bet its small.... i know its pretty small on my F38310 but its still readable. But vooms guide is about the same size as dish so theres no reason it should be different. Are you sure its set in 720p/1080i mode? the red button on the front panel will switch resolutions.

Ive noticed it getting progressively better as well.... Equator, Worldsport and Rave are already better now than they ever were on the old encoders. Im still convinced they are doing vbr now more agressively where some shows are much less (why you see people here complaining a certain show...

On some channels I agree with all the sentiment here (and its probably the VBR stuff now) but some channels look better than they ever did on the old encoders.... Some Equator programs and pretty much Rave all the time Ive noticed lately have gotten better than they ever looked on the old...

Same here... much better PQ across the board. Seems to have dropped a few nothces back now. Eurosport was perfect earlier and now has pixelization again.
