I agree. I am really going to miss the Voom Originals the most. Cinema10 & Monsters are absolutely unique channels compared with your regular premium channels. Monsters, World Cinema and FU, where else can find that kind of HD programming?

I simply asked them if they had any special offers that would entice me to go back to them. I told them I am a current satellite subscriber and that is when they made the offer. I think they called the offer their “Welcome back from Satellite” deal.

I like the channel. It is basically a cross between the Travel channel, Fine Dining and Ultra HD (less the runway stuff). The only thing I don’t like is the inconsistent PQ. Some programs look great while others are only SD quality.

Yes, although it would be nice if Voom offered an HD only package, I don’t believe they will ever do it. With all of the recent SD additions to the lineup, I believe Voom can now compete with D*, E* and cable with their SD lineup alone and can attract that customer base (those without an HDTV)...

Good luck on your install…I would suggest that you tell your installer to not use a “diplexer” and run the OTA cable directly to the back of the receiver. More work for him, but better for you in that your OTA signal and reception is better. Also, if you want to be able to use the Caller ID...

Yes, I still get UHD on 501, I think and HGTV on 615 and Food on 616. I will take a scan when I get home and post it.

Why does this happen? With the exception of UHD, I only hear the audio for the above channels. The UHD channel displays numerous tiny screen boxes of video. Does anyone know what this is?

I think this is basically a moot concern since it is now 7:35 pm Eastern time and we have not heard anything about FCC approval of the satellite. So rest assured, Voomer’s will be able to watch the big game in glorious FOX HD!
