    multi-switches do NOT pass voltage.you have to put diplexors in line BEFORE the switch or it will not pass power.if you are using the multiswitch supplied by voom.. the one in the blue box..it will not work no matter what you do because it blocks the signal

    you should be okay to 200 feet..but if you want to be safe you can get quad shield solid copper conductor Rg6 cable then you should be good up to 300-350 feet

    if you are only using one stb there is no need for a multi-switch...matter of fact if you need a multi-switch(3 or more stbs)then it has to be hooked up differently...because a multi will NOT pass the voltage...make sure you have a multi...will have 3 inputs one side 4 on other ...a diplexor...

    it depends on which off air antenna you are getting ...if you are getting the stealth then it comes with a seperate power inserter ...if you are getting the winegard sensar antenna then it must use the diplexor to get power from the stb because no seperate power supply is included

    i am a voom installer and the info about running lines is wrong...diplexors are what we are getting paid to use... if you want two lines be prepared to pay for it... you are using up more of the installers equipment that he has to pay for
