Well, I was scheduled for an install today but it was cancelled. Since it is raining elephants and buffalos (as opposed to cats and dogs) here in Florida, I certainly agree and will just have to wait for another day.

Since I live in Florida, I might as well do what I can about rain fade with my initial install. I've read from other posts that Winegard's 30" dish (DS2078) with the RCA feed support works just fine. But, I'm having a heck of a time finding a Winegard retailer locally. Before I bite the bullet...

Well, ain't that a kick in the pants. So, my installer wasn't as nuts as everyone made it appear (although it still doesn't sound like an optimum setup). How come everyone else says it flat out won't work? :rolleyes:

OK. I've got one for you that I have not previously heard. I had a site survey done yesteday by an installer. He wants to combine the existing cable coax with the sat service. I guess just use a diplexer and use the existing coax already running into the house. That sounds like a horrible way to...
