    Samsung QLED TVs

Your right. I’m wrong I should have never bought OLED. I’m going to run out now and sell both because I have no issues. I’ll buy another type of technology that has their issues. I am so relieved now. Thanks for helping me see the light of day.[emoji23]

    Samsung QLED TVs

Yep. Saw it. Really sorry it happened to one of our respected members here. I’m not about to go looking for trouble on my tv. If I wanted to do that I’d be on AVS posting every night that the sky is falling like most there.

    Samsung QLED TVs

I have 2 LG Oled tv’s and I do not repeat do not baby mine. There are burn in on OLED tv’s but they are very few. It seems like many here are saying the sky is falling for OLED when it’s not the case. The day I need to baby my OLED is when I need to switch to something else. Plasma was much...

2018 LG OLED's are bringing it

That’s $800 less than what I paid and I still consider mine a bargain.

2018 LG OLED's are bringing it

I have last years (2017) in a 65” and this (2018) 77”. There is a difference between the two but not leaps and bounds. The software is more fluid and a tad brighter picture on the 18 model. I imagine you can expect small incremental differences in this years model. From what I understand, unless...

2018 LG OLED's are bringing it

I plan on enjoying my E7 and C8 for years to come. I have no interest in gaming and 8K will make no difference from where I’m sitting. The content I watch will make no difference for this years OLED’s.

2018 LG OLED's are bringing it

I have the C8 and love it. The fix your talking about was the hdr brightness fluctuations when changing scenes and yes it is fixed. I have the E7 which is great but the C8 takes it to another level. Enjoy!

Epson Pro Cinema 4050 4K (pixel-shift) PRO-UHD Projector with HDR

Home projectors are useless up to this point as far as HDR is concerned. From my experience all HDR does is raise black levels and burn out lamp faster without improving the picture.

    Samsung Tv upconverting

What you are seeing is the source. The tv will upconvert no matter what the source is sending. The tv will not tell you it is up converting. It is doing this automatically.

2018 LG OLED's are bringing it

Contact Chris at Cleveland Plasma. Really good deals on 07’s. Cheaper than the new Samsung Q lineup.

Poll: Are QLEDs worth the premium over LCDs?

I had last year Q7 for about a week. It was awful off center viewing and HDR was terrible. I understand this years Q9 is suppose to be better all around but the fact you will be able to tell a difference off angle viewing just doesn’t cut it. The motion on Samsung has gotten worse over the last...

Some information for 2017 LG OLED owners

I added a Darbeevision 5000s darblet from my projector setup to help clean up some of the Directv compression. Made a big difference. You can get those on eBay for about $110. I’ll buy another to add it back to the projector. The Samsung Q7 I tried kept strobing once there was dark against light...

    Sony A8F Oled

It’s funny what we get use to as far as motion is concerned. I have a Sony HW40 projector and the motion is flawless in my eyes. I had several Samsung TVs and never had a problem with motion until I tried their 4k 2 years ago. They have obviously changed something with motion as I tried again...

Some information for 2017 LG OLED owners

Thanks. I figured you would know. Do you know why Dolby Vision is locked in to extended? It seems both are not using the same color gamut.

Some information for 2017 LG OLED owners

My injured Samsung finally got replaced by 2017 LG OLED. I notice while streaming Dolby Vision content the color gamut is locked in to extended but while streaming HDR10 content you have 3 options (wide, extended and auto). All three are different. Auto is a little flat while wide is too...

    New Projector

If your looking for 1080p and not 4K, Benq has a number of dlp projectors that are fairly bright. HT1070 refurbished can be had for under $500. I use a Sony hw40 but have seen the Benq and it throws a great pic for the price. If your wanting to go 4K on the cheap Epson and Optoma both can be had...

    4K TV broadcasts are coming

Until we get widespread 4K broadcast it will not matter. I've been reading that the likes of ESPN 4K is just around the corner. Problem is that corner has to be a mile long because it's going on 3 years for that rumor. You can bet tv manufacturers will target the non educated on tvs as they...
