    running network cable outside?

Another solution for running cables outside is to get Moca Adapters, then you can use regular quad core RG6 ( or your existing cable/sat cables) . Yes that will limit your network speed to 250Mps, but a lot smaller hole in your wall.

What is(are) the benefits of the TiVo Mini?

The advantage of the mini over another Roamio with OTA, (beyond cost) is that you get your signal over your home network, not directly off your antenna. Then I saw that the Roamio with 4 tuners and clients could...

Channel Master and Echostar working on new OTA DVR

Actually it is almost 3 years before it's "gravy" at the current subscription price of $15/month or $500 for the life of the dvr. Even the Tivo mini clients subscription is over 2 years with the price of $6/month or $150 for life of the box.

Radio Shack 100 foot quad shield cable....$9.99 closeout

Damn wish I'd seen this 3 days ago, 100 footers were $30 at Big orange, so I opted for the 500 foot roll for $50 and a bag of ends . I figured maybe I'd get energetic some some day and just rip all the old crap cable wires off the house and rewire it properly, rather than pay 30 cents a foot...
