WTCI PBS Chattanooga TN adds .4 subchannel

Trip, it's been a minute. I haven't looked at your site recently. Just in case, WTCI added Virtual 45.4 (Educate/World) in 480i. As for WNGH, PBS Chatsworth GA, when it moved to Real ch 4 I lost reception with my antenna. I've tried different locations with a spare, identical antenna with and...

Please rescan WFLI Chattanooga TN (CW) by Dec 10 2019 (Repack)

WFLI Virtual 53.1 (Real 42) is now running commercials to rescan your antenna tuner no later that Dec 10, 2019. New channel will be UHF 23. They are supposed to be increasing power from 500kw to 550kw on or before Dec 10 under their construction permit. WFLI Cleveland/Chattanooga TN serves 4...

    Outdoor UHF antenna issues

One thought I had, of course proper band antenna and aiming is important. Also consider the tuner depending on its sensitivity. Many tuners for digital reception vary depending on the manufacturer. Some are better than others at locking on signal and 2 different tuners side by side but made by...

    Antenna Changes - Belgrade, MT

My unique experience was even 5 ft higher improved some channels, but most worsened. After experiments, lol.. I ended up putting the antenna back to its original height on the mast, kept everything the same except changing the weather boots. You'd think higher is always better, but like so many...

Is it ok to mix RG6 and RG59 coax cables?

I was just inspecting my antenna yesterday. I noticed the weather boot covering the input from antenna was cracking and frail looking. Replaced it just in case. I'd rather be preventive since moisture in the connection can cause funky issues.

Unable to pull in VHF Hi stations

One thing I either missed or wasn't discussed is when using more than 1 antenna, shouldn't there be some kind of a few feet distance between the two? As I've played with my setup, before finally finding a happy medium with one antenna, placing 2 antennas 1ft apart caused interference vs when I...

One in three TV viewers in the US now use an antenna: report

Very true I know locally for TN, GA stations. Knoxville does overlap Chattanooga now, and Atlanta is overlapping in N GA & NE GA. Nashville would overlap Chattanooga as well except for Monteagle Mountain that simply blocks any possible overlap maybe with exception of Missionary Ridge in...

    Court TV Making a Return

Escape while it is noted to be geared more for females according to their statements, shows obviously fictitious drama..but more to the point, one cable channel I've had before that never ran live court trials but is constantly showing shows like "American Justice," etc is very much in line...

VHF Lo Reception on VHF-Hi/UHF Designed Antennas

TNGuy84, by just pure chance, depending on where you are WFLI 53DT CW (Real 42) serves about to Scottsboro also reaches Fort Payne barely...with the repack, I believe all major Chattanooga majors broadcast from Signal Mountain TN..WFLI when the repack occurs is changing. Many viewpoints on...

    HDB91X Antenna

If not mistaken, WDEF will move from RF 12 to RF 8 as well. This may or may not make a difference. As for me currently, 1 4bay UHF only about 35-40 miles from towers in N GA with pre amp 15ft AGL no splits, about 50ft coax receives all but low power channels in the Chattanooga market. But it's...

    All these Lifestyle Channels

Unfortunately, (at least for me,) religious channels carry usually around 7-8 substations & it takes me more time to delete all but 1 or 2 of them I watch off my guide list. Smh Sent from my LG-M322 using the SatelliteGuys app!

    We had to Rescan,

I agree with harshness. It's probably going to be the antenna needs to be adjusted, (higher, an amp if needed) and/or also keep in mind not all digital tv tuners are created equal. Of course if all else fails, it is important to look at once frequency changes occur, sometimes elevation or power...

E.W. Scripps buying 15 Cordillera Stations.

Years ago I worked for Scripps Howard Cable (Now Comcast.) Actually was called TeleScripps Cable of Chattanooga. They seemed to sell off their cable assets then. Seems they are making a more recent play for OTA channels. Sent from my LG-M322 using the SatelliteGuys app!

Why KTFA LP is back on the air?

WDSI was on physical 40, moved to 14 Sept 1st..but T Mobile is abysmal here. 35 miles south of Chattanooga broadcast towers. Even AT&T is bad..can't get service off of main "drag" here. Verizon is king in this area. WFLI is on physical 42 so I would assume they'd be moving sooner rather than...

Antenna TV back on in Chattanooga TN market

WDGA 43.2 (low power?) Dalton GA has signed on as an affiliate effective immediately for Antenna TV. The message claims it covers the Chattanooga market, although it would be weak as I'm 16 miles or so away from transmitter and cannot receive this station. It claims cable coverage coming soon...

I get better OTA sensitivity from my TiVo Bolt than directly from my Sony TV, is this normal?

Really depends on tuner from manufacturer according to a station engineer I talked with awhile back. I was told as most tv's if not all now are made with mostly foreign parts, each have their own specs. I own 2 tv's. An Emerson "dumb" flat 32 inch HD about 5 yrs old. Works perfect but tuner...

Light TV replacing Antenna TV in Chattanooga

Yeah, they just recently added ION on 3.3..not necessarily a family channel but more in line with drama shows families watch than say GRIT or Escape..lol (those seem to be more niche channels, though) Sent from my LG-M322 using the SatelliteGuys app!

    Decades Replaced by StartTV

Chattanooga CBS station recently added GRIT on 12.4...not a CBS O&O station, neither is MeTv run by Weigel locally, (in regards to Weigel stations O&O.) It's run by Sinclair/New Age Media Group (WFLI CW.) I did enjoy Decades on YTTV. I have checked out Start TV and am disappointed.

    Gained 9 OTA channels

HoTat2, Locally RETRO is an LP station, which pretty much airs local programming like shopping in N GA and infomercials except for some primetime stuff and weekend shows. It's basically down to zilch..nothing. Pq looks definitely 480 or less. RETRO originates from Chattanooga TN, and the main...
