    Empirical Antenna Solutions

You're right CowboyDren! I was way wrong on this one! Grabbit Ears DO work much better outside. My problem was I was trying to use them "vertically" the way they hang inside. Using them this way is only a little better and they are somewhat directional. Then it hit me to try them flat. WOW...

    Need helping getting all channels

I've started to compare some TVfool projections for a some antennae that are out there and I've changed my mind on you needing an amplifier. The performance of Grabbit Ears out of coathangers far surpasses what you are getting. (I didn't need the amplifier, I used it to see what difference it...

    Empirical Antenna Solutions

I didn't realize you were working on simulation data. I thought you could build one and test it. Test data is the information I'm most interested in.

    Empirical Antenna Solutions

I was going to say that ALL I have IS empirical data. You beat me to it bebop. What cowboy requires is STATISTICAL data. Since I haven't the equipment or knowledge, I'm hoping he will test it. It outperforms 2-bays, but remember this is an indoor antenna. It may not perform at all out of...

    Need helping getting all channels

I finally got my hands on an old amplifier that I had loaned out. Its a uhf/vhf/fm 24db amp. It adds very SIGNIFICANT increase in signal strength and signal quality! Give it a try bebop and see if you can get all the rest without the fiddling and still hidden from view.

    Empirical Antenna Solutions

Cool! I'll do what I can. All of my research is relational to how Grabbit Ears work, versus the variety of rabbit ears and antenna that I have used in the same locations over the years. They definitely are an improvement over the all rabbit ears I've tried including a 50 db amp RCA digital...

    Need helping getting all channels

Your welcome, bebop! One of the great things is the small size. I was originally thinking of truckers and RV'ers because it is so small and light. (That's why I made the one on the back of a clipboard - so it would have a stable back and would hang on any vehicle window. What coathanger...

Help Solve a Single Channel Problem

I hadn't used the digi antenna but Craig from Skywalker says it is the strongest signal he has come across. He said it is so strong that he has had to start adding attenuators even at 45 miles out. So this does remind us that bigger (stronger) isn't always better with antennae in the digital...

How's the signal strength and how many points difference? And, how's the picture?

    Looking for an OTA tuner....

Sorry. I don't have any screenshots. Do you just take a pic with your phone, send, save and then publish, or does it take more than that? Anyway, that EPG looks better than Choice Selects, already!

    Looking for an OTA tuner....

Component only. BTW, I wouldn't pay that price either. I think they're still available for about $100 less than that maybe at Skywalker Communications. This EPG is better than all the converter boxes that I've tried, except the DTVPal.

    Looking for an OTA tuner....

I have had a Choice Select HD converter box for over 3 years, now. In regards to menus and EPG, it is not as responsive or intuitive as the DTVPal (non-hd), but it does better than any other converter box that I've tried or installed. As far as picture goes, the SD is bangin' and the HD is...
