WHAT IS GOING TO BE THE FUTURE OF SUBCHANNELS ?

I don't understand that logic. Do the subchannels own the rights to those same shows? If subchannels can get rights to those shows why can't someone get those rights to put them on a cable/satellite network? We do have TVLand and Nick at Night which both used to be good but now they mostly show...

    Multicast Diginets

I live in a small community, population 17,000. All of our OTA comes from translators bringing in remote signals from Salt Lake City and Reno, except that we have one local full power NBC affiliate. On subchannels we get Antenna TV, MeTV, Movies!, RetroTV, Grit, Create, Weather Nation and Zuus.

GetTV another OTA movie channel comming

It all comes down to costs. That older programming is cheaper. And it's very popular with older viewers. That's why you see so many commercials for Medicare supplement insurance, medical supplies and denture products and the like on those channels. My mother gets Directv but she also gets...

GetTV another OTA movie channel comming

We need access to both newer and older movies. As a classic movie buff I love having classic movie channels. But you should also have a network that caters to your tastes.

Thinking of dumping satellite for OTA

Thanks for your reply. I forgot to mention that they are all UHF except for one which is on channel 12. (Those are the channels they transmit on, not their virtual channels.) So I guess I can use a combination high V/UHF antenna. Right? According to Antennaweb.com, I need a medium sized antenna.

Thinking of dumping satellite for OTA

There are twelve channels broadcasting digital OTA signals in my area. (Elko, NV.) All but one of them are low power translators. According to the FCC's website they are all 1 kw. We have one so-called full power station but it is only 1.5 kw. All of the translators are only about three miles...

    Antenna shortage?

Even a lot of online retailers are sold out but even so trying online might be your best bet. I know it's a hassle if you have to return it.

Can anyone reccomend a good indoor antenna for digital TV signals?

I live in a high rise building and there just is no way that I can use a roof mounted antenna. Plus the association rules prohibit putting an antenna on my balcony. I have heard that it is actually illegal for them to prohibit satellite dishes on our balconies, but I am not sure if that would...

Can anyone reccomend a good indoor antenna for digital TV signals?

Thanks. So that would be preferable to getting another antenna with a built in amplifier?

Can anyone reccomend a good indoor antenna for digital TV signals?

When I connect a passive rabbit ears antenna to my digital TV I get a lot of channels, but on most channels I get pixalization, and sometimes the channels cut in and out. I think I need a better indoor antenna. I cannot use a rooftop antenna. Can anyone recommended a good indoor antenna...
