La Plata County has been in the New Mexico DMA. Their county petitioned the FCC for a market modification so they could receive in-state Colorado broadcast via satellite. They can now receive the four major networks from Denver if they wish...

I think you are misunderstanding which frequencies the FCC is confiscating. As of today, the FCC wants all channels 30-51 to be relinquished and broadcasters on those frequencies 30-51 will be required to move down to channels 2-29. Full power broadcasters will be compensated for moving down...

If you watch TV via translators then you are going to be very much impacted. Up to half the translators in the state of Utah will have to go dark if they go down to channel 30. The government is not going to help translators with repack money. Hard to believe that TV channels use to go clear up...

Hi, I work with translators and we are encoding signals. I am curious what the preferred format is for SD programming; 4x3 with the black bars on the sides, or 16x9 stretched to fill the tv?
