    is the worldbox finally coming?

Yeah I just tested it out this morning. Love the on demand! I wish they would assign the Guide to the "*" button. Right now the "*" does nothing... what a waste. I only have the Spectrum Stream Plus package so I don't notice any new channels. And I don't notice any difference in picture...

    new to charter

I feel like the phone part is way too much even if it is just $10 more, because you could get ooma for less than $4 a month. I was offered the double play internet/tv for $79 for first year. But I took the internet + streaming TV package instead. The price is about the same, but it does not...

Charter Launches Spectrum TV App on Roku

Tried HBO live again last night. And this time it seems to be in HD in all the channels. Maybe it was just a fluke last time. However the FX is so bad in the 2007 Transformer movie... I can't even watch it at all. You can see the people are acting in from of the green screen. You can...

Charter Launches Spectrum TV App on Roku

It is really not that big a deal though. Since all the live HBO channels contents could be watched as on demand on HBO Go... well except for any live sporting event I guess. I don't know why the live HBO channels are not in HD. The HGTV and Food Channel seems to be in HD. But none of them...

Charter Launches Spectrum TV App on Roku

Got my free Roku 3 yesterday. Unlike on the Android app, the Spectrum TV app on the Roku does allow me to watch all the locals. The HBO live channels are not in HD though. I switch between watching the same movie on HBO Go (on Roku) and Spectrum TV HBO (on Roku) and the Spectrum one is like...

Charter Launches Spectrum TV App on Roku

The sales guy said the app just came out on Xbox 360 and should be out in the future for Xbox One. I have a TV upstairs hooked up with the old Xbox 360 for the kid... and now he could also watch TV on it. :p

Charter Launches Spectrum TV App on Roku

Signed up! The guy tried to sell me the Triple Play Gold for $139 a month for the first year. Then finally signed me up for the stream plus. Just HBO alone is normally $15 a month. So extra $5 gets me all locals and most of the most watched cable channels. This is probably the best cord...

Charter Launches Spectrum TV App on Roku

I actually only want the local channels because I am out of antenna range. I read that they actually offers only local + HBO for $12.99 per month with the free Roku 3. Maybe I will try to ask for that instead. They provided an URL to sign up but when I logged in, I don't get any option to...

Charter Launches Spectrum TV App on Roku

Just got an offer in mail to sign up for Spectrum TV Stream Plus. For $20 I get all the network channels (CBS, NBC, ABC..) and HBO or Showtime and most of the more popular cable networks like HGTV, Food, AMC, etc.... I think it is a pretty good deal. Oh they give you free Roku 3. The $20...

    New Modem

I just got a new modem too from Charter (didn't look at the model) and my speed went from 30 something to 60 something down. Up is still about the same.. 3 or 4. I started with a 15mb plan 4 years ago.. and got bumped up to 30 (new modem) 2 years ago.. and now 60 for free. Would I get 120 in...

    Ongoing problems with email.

Not necessary if you continue to pay for it LOL. I have a coworker who had Verizon (GTE) as a dial up internet service back in days. He now has Time Warner as ISP and AT&T as phone provider, but he continues to pay Verizon $20 a month just to keep his old email address! I thought it was...

    Pleased with Charter Internet

Is the $65 per month for 12 months only? The $29 per month for 30Mb down is going to go up to about $49 after 12 months. So I think the $65 is going to up to about $99 after new account promotion. I don't think you really need 60Mb down. I have 30Mb down with 6 laptops, 2 iPads, 2...

Charter Spectrum - Charter finally to look competitive?

I called Charter trying to see if I could add local channels in HD only. The cheapest TV package they have is $39.99 per month! I just want like 5 or 6 local channels in HD since I am too far away from the broadcast tower, but they won't just sell the local channel packages. I could get it...

    Annoying Charter phone calls

If you don't mind paying some money, here is how you get them to stop calling you. Sign up 1 month of Charter phone. When you do that, they automatically switch your account phone number to the new VOIP phone number. Once they did that, you cancel and get a prorated refund! Now they will...

    Why would anyone have Charter?

I agree that Charter's HD equipments pale in comparison to Dish's, but I thought their customer service is better. A few times I called, I got same day or next day service to come out to install or fix things. I had Dish Network at my other house, and every time I called, it takes 8 to 10...

    My Charter story...

After having the Moxi DVR for a few months, I am getting used to the slow interface. The hard drive is a joke. I connect my 500 Gb external hard drive to it and took care of the problem, but now I have to buy another HD for my PC backup. The DVR never turns off or in sleep mode, I am worry...

Charter DVR Dual Tuner Versus Dish DVR

waltinvt, you are not missing too much by not having the Moxi dvr. I just switch from dish to charter with the moxi box, and it is horrible comparing to dish. It doesn't even have a grid channel guide. You have to scroll thru every channel 1 by 1 (no page up/down button) and select each one...

Is Charter internet wireless connect only up to 5 devices?

Is your wireless router rent from Charter or is it your own? I wonder if the one from Charter somehow has a hard limit of number of wireless devices. It seems strange that it would say there is a limit of 5 pc's.

Is Charter internet wireless connect only up to 5 devices?

I am planning to get charter internet service, but the descripton on the wireless option says connects up to 5 devices. Is there really a limit of 5 devices? With 3 PCs, 1 notebook, 2 iphones, and a Wii, that's already 6 devices...

    Anything new in Fios land?

I am already paying like $85 for Verizon phone and FIOS internet, the triple play would really be a great deal for me. They sent me 2 letters per week asking me to switch to triple play! I have to check out the Tivo HD and Moxi HD. I didn't know there are other receivers out there that works...

    Anything new in Fios land?

If Verizon offered the EchoStar box, I would immediately ditch Dish and switch to Fios. It is strange the EchoStar would be losing way more money selling a box to Verizon. My brother got FIOS and his motorola DVR is horrible compared to my dish DVR.
