Keep the dish as LOW as it will go and still see the satellites you are after, then if it gets really bad four bolts will remove the dish reflector! Other than that adding some cables to keep the dish tied down may do the trick!

No chance of any Dr Who. There is some HD up there FTA but mainly also on C-Band. We are talking mainly feeds that pop up now and again. The great thing about FTA satellite is you just never know what will appear! There are two feeds that come direct from the Post Office Tower in the UK...

BBC world is FTA on C-Band (6' dish needed) Other than that you can sub to BBC America (waste of money) or Globecast have a UK soccer package, other than that about all I have seen is the odd feed or sports game here or there. I come for the UK :) www.globecastwtv.com

What satellite service do you have? DirecTV DishNetwork...... Your locals may be on a spot beam so will not be available when you travel out of state.

You could put the dish on the roof on a flat (non-pen.) roof mount if needed, there are also flat coax cables available that will work. There is ALWAYS a way to sneak a cable into a building!

I have a can of King's Rain Shield in my hand right now, it should be used on the LNBF and DISH for the full effect. 1. Apply ONLY when the temperature is between 50 and 110F. 2. Clean the LNB lens and DISH with water(no soap) to remove all dirt..... 3. Thoroughly dry surfaces...
