    FIOS deleting channels question

The Motorola box that Verizon provides won't let you do that. Tivo does and is a much better option all around.

    Leaving Verizon territory ...

I'd love to stay with Fios but am moving to Minnesota next month and there is no Fios or Verizon where I'm going to. The only Verizon service I'll keep is wireless. Anyone know what kind of disconnect costs I'll run into because I'm leaving before the contract is up? The contract says 99.00...

New to Fios w/questions about Tivo and Phone

The older series 3 is not worth the extra money. THX certification in this case is pure marketing and you do need to use 2 M cards with it. The backlit remote control is nice but you can order them seperately. I'm not knocking the series 3. I have one and I love it. The larger internal hard...

Thanks for the info. I'll look into it.

    Fios and Tivo

Yes on sharing recordings between boxes. The only difference as far as I can tell is you get the THX intro when the box fires up on initial setup or reboots.

    3 Weeks with Fios

I'm surprised Frontier would have the chops to pull that off. I've always thought of them as totally rural. Where I live is suburban and would seem to be part of what Verizon would want to keep.

    3 Weeks with Fios

Fios is nowhere near where we'd be going. Good thing I'm still on good terms with D. Now their sports crazy attitude will be in my favor. I won't need to miss my Seahawks, Mariners or Sounders. :) I'll still keep my Tivo hooked up for OTA.

    3 Weeks with Fios

It's looking like I will be moving this summer and leaving Verizon territory. Going to miss my Fios.

    Fios and Tivo

Call Verizon: 888-553-1555 to order the card. Here is some info from an earlier thread that aged off that might be useful. This was for a Tivo series 3, I think all you need for the HD Tivo is 1 series M card: Ok, here is some info that I would have found useful if I was starting from scratch...

    FIOS HD MultiRoom DVR Questions

I think Tivo HD may be a better option. You can share programs between your Tivos and there are no issues with the guide or capacity. You will own the box and the monthly costs are pretty much the same.

    Fios and Tivo

The Tivo/Fios combo is outstanding. :D

    Fios and Tivo

Thanks. Can't do without my 30 sec skip, activated it the first day. Trade off but this will work. Better than just a normal rewind.

    Fios and Tivo

Is there any way to get the Tivo to go back to the start of a program you started watching and then stopped instead of rewinding?

EchoStar Unveils World’s First SlingLoaded HD DVR for Cable

Echostar already has a contract with Tribune for their existing subs. Maybe it wouldn't be a prohibitive cost. On the other hand, if they can get contracts this would be crazy better than the Motorola and has got to make Tivo very worried.

    Fios and Tivo

Hope you like your Fios service. Hope there is someone more knowledgeable on the Motorola who can answer your questions. I switched to Tivo soon after hooking up to Fios. In general, I found the Motorola box to be primitive compared to a D or E DVR. I hope you have better luck with it. On the...

    Anything new in Fios land?

The Fios threads have been so quiet recently. For my part, I haven't had much to complain or speculate about since I added Tivo. Being happy about my services is a good thing. Like always I'd like to see them add more HD (like CC or AMC) or perhaps offer some flexible expanded sports...
