Important Update on Block Communications Local Channels

Block Communications has unfortunately removed their channels from DISH after we were unable to reach a fair agreement.

We had been working with Block for some time to renew our contract and had recently reached a handshake deal. However, on August 1, 2025, Block announced plans to sell their stations to Gray Media. Following that announcement, they chose not to honor the agreement we had in place. Instead, they are now seeking more favorable terms that could help increase the value of the sale.

Block is selling their stations to Gray Media. I guess after this dispute, look for another in the future involving these same stations.

just now noticed that MeTV did just returned to the Dish lineup on channel 247 as a streaming channel (which you need internet for), how long has it been back on Dish for.

just now noticed that MeTV did just returned to the Dish lineup on channel 247 as a streaming channel (which you need internet for), how long has it been back on Dish for.

Sure enough! MeTV's website confirms that it is available in the AT120 and higher package as a streaming only option on 247.

Today's uplink restored Chicago's NBC OTA EPG back to the satellite channel. But other than that, nothing else has changed.
