500 Hours Recording Time

I have been seeing Dish Network advertising that the VIP722 HD DVR receiver can record up to 500 hours and not the 350 hours noted within the receiver specs. Are they lying just like how they do about how many HD channels they have available?

I was thinking they were including the "Dish On Demand" movies and "TV Entertainment" that they stuff on the drive "for our convienence." In that number.
