811 not taking remote signal

It looks like my 811 completely stopped recieving a signal from any remote I try using on it. I have a universal remote that normally controls it and works on everything else and I have the 811 remote that came with the box, but neither can get the box to respond to it. Any ideas?

1. Did both remotes stop working at exactly the same time? If so, you can probably rule them out as the problem. Are they both using IR mode?

2. Have you tried a hard reboot (unplug)?

I did try the hard reboot. I found how to change the remote code ( the 1-14 #) in a different post and when I did that, the 811 remote worked. Now I just gotta get my Tivo remote and my universal remote to work on the 811 box. At least now I can change the channels with the original 811 remote.
