I'm thinking about replacing my 921 with a 942 and I have an install question.

At the moment I don't have OTA on my 921 because I don't have an antenna, but I want to add one.

So, right now I've got a DishPro 500 with two RG6 runs to a DP34 switch. From the switch I have 2 RG6 that run to where my 921 is (942 would be) installed. It would be very difficult to get another run to the location so I'm pretty much stuck with the two.

What's the best way to get the 2 sat sigs and the OTA sig to the receiver and what do I need to install it? I'm thinking the easiest would be to use diplexers and put the OTA signal on one of the sat runs, but I've read that the 942 has something where you can run both sat sigs on one coax run but I'm not sure if my LNB or switch support it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Here's one way you can do it; you'll need 2 diplexers to make it happen. Combine your OTA and one of the sat runs to your receiver using one of the diplexers. And then separate the two signals, using your second diplexer.

The diplexer is usually pretty labled and hard to mess up. You can buy them at Radio Shack. Good luck

Super nice service rep - but super bad actual service...
