I am going to install the in-laws new dish this weekend. According to the picture below most of the locals are on 148. So I am going to have to install 2 dishes just to get the locals? I don't see that they are mirrored to 129 so a dish 1000 won't work AFAIK. Would this be correct or am I missing something here?

Abilene locals are on 148 so you would need two dishes.

Most of the locals on 129 are the ones on a split dish setup (where some are on 110/119 and the others on 61.5/148)

For Voom HD & Locals, you would need a Dish1000 & Dish 300 (at 148)

That's what I was afraid of. They won't need HD. So it will be a 500 and a 300 set-up. I guess I could install a 1000 just in case they eventually get moved over to 129.

I was sent a 1000 and a 500 to do this install. I had to take the DP twin off the 1000 and put it in the 119 slot on the 500. Then I ran the line from the 500 to the input on the DPP Twin on the 1000. That got me 119,110, & 148.

He swore up and down that the locals were on 129 and I just got lucky he sent the 500. He didn't send any switchs so that is why I had to hook it up that way. When he called to activate the receiver is when he learned about the locals being on 148. So now he knows and maybe next time it won't take forever to install.
