Adapting Dish500 Quad LNBF to Single Feed 1.8 Meter Channel Master

I bought a Dish500 Quad LNBF's on ebay PN: 214-5100-454 with the intention of fitting it to my 1.8 meter channel master offset dish. The auction said that I do not need a switch to receive both 110 and 119 satellite channels (which my Dishnetwork service will allow). The ebay auction also indicated that the quad F-connectors were to allow up to four receivers to be connected at one time and that no switching was necessary to receive programming from both satellites at the same time.

Is all of the above true? Can I connect one very basic receiver to any one of the four LNB F connectors to receive from both satellites? I've done some experimenting with LNB's in the past with prime focus parabolic antennas before picking up signals from other satellites just by moving the LNB around to a new spot so my idea was to put this LNB at the focal point and try to get it to work for both birds, taking a hit on maximum gain because I have a large enough dish to do so.

Also, I'm a satellite tech-engineer working at a location which has two large 15M dish antennas for both downlink and uplinking of toll sat circuits so this shouldn't be a bid deal for me. I've designed many antenna systems but don't know if this LNB is as advertised... Before I start on this project I'd sure appreciate anyone who has played around with these LNBF's to give me their own advice. Just being a tech with 20 years experience in satellite doesn't mean what I want to do is a good idea.

What ya think?

PS: I found this site by doing a google search under the LNBF's part number and tried to add a question to an ongoing thread on this specific PN LNB and the site refused to let me do so, even after it gave me the window to type the text in. Why? Because the thread was over a year and a half old. Still, my questions in that thread were pertinent to the subject and although my post wasn't to answer someone elses question it makes sense to me that you should allow people to add their own questions to those kinds of threads as a way to keep the information all in one thread.... even if over a year old it was a very specific thread. Maybe you shouldn't assume someone would only want to add to the thread to answer someones question? Forgive me for forwardness on this suggestion, but its a no brainer to me! This place is a great resource for google searches, not just a one time thing, we should be able to add to those threads even though the original poster might be long gone.

There are threads on this forum about what size dish to use in Alaska, for each of those two satellites.
Normally down here in the lower 48, your quad output, dual satellite LNB will do exactly as advertized.

There are two kinds: DishPro, and Legacy.
The DishPro will have a big black/silver dp logo on the front of it.

The one thing I don't know about, is determining how far apart the focus points would be, given a non-standard dish.
If you can't find any info on the subject (and I would suspect someone here already knows), then you could certainly find the focus points easily, with a signal strength meter, and hand-holding an LNB at the focus.
(I'm not blowing smoke here, as I've done similar for other purposes)
If you can get sufficient signal at the spacing of the two LNBs in your quad, then you're good to go.
If it turns out that your focus points are closer or farther apart, then two adjustable LNBs would be a better way to go...
... and you'd need an appropriate electronic switch, too.

So, wait for other posters with better info, and do search the forum for more info , using the keyword: Alaska

Oh, one more thing.
You'll have to either rotate that LNB or the entire dish (and it's not got a mount to allow that) to dial in the correct skew.
Another reason most people use two LNBs, each on a separate dish , I suspect.
