Adding Another Receive to the existant set up help!

Hi guys,First all i want to wish you guys a Merry Christmas: now my friend has Dish net work Dual tuner receiver Vip 222, and his install i think is! Dish Pro Plus ,with twin lnbs also think he has 61,5,72,74, i see one dish with 2 lnbs,

now after the dish he has a duplex that run one cable to the the DP power inserter,and one to the TV 2 in other room,and the other cable runs to the DP power inserter and from the power inserter it goes to a triplex separator then two small cables, one connect to Sat 1 other connects to Sat 2 and other that says (Distribution) connect to the output of Channel out TV 2,

now he has another dishNEt receiver that he would like to connect to the system, i know to do installs but on the old setups I'm not updated on this one,i have an idea how to do it but i don´t want to get a mistake since this is not mine.Can you please refresh my memory on this one,thanks in advance

Another coax is necessary all the way from the 1000.4 to the new receiver.

To get the sats you are telling us, he has to have a 3 eyed LNB, 1000.4 DISH

A 1000.4 has 3 outputs and 1 input.

Why is there 2 power inserters for this system? Unless you are running 2 44 switches cascaded there is no need for the power inserters.

Thanks guys for your interest on helping,i did not go back to my friend's house yet,but i was checking my brother's in law install that seems much like my friends, i see two wires coming out of the dish which has 3 eyes, 1 cable comes down to a dp2 the other goes to tv2 which is UH\Vhf and one goes straight to the Power Inserter that connects to the triplex separator then to the input sat 1 sat 2 the other to distribution,on my brothers he has another dish for 110\119 which connects to the input on the 3 eye lnbs, so i assume that it's an lnb output free?,maybe you can send me a few diagrams of a possible install suitable for my friend to add one more receiver to the system thanks in advance.

There shouldn't be any power inserters in a one or two receiver system.

As Dishman1978 points out, only the DISH DPP44 requires a power inserter in a system that doesn't involve a Hopper.

The seemingly widespread use of triplexers is a little perplexing as well.

I suspect that we're missing a critical element of the setups.

Trhowing things in your shopping cart on ebay isn't a valid way of acquiring what you need. The Power Inserter (PI) is useless without the DPP44 (as noted in the listing). Triplexers are used uniquely if you have a TV2 setup that is a long way from the receiver and you need to carry the remote control signal on the cable.

We need to know in no uncertain terms what you're trying to accomplish as throwing random parts at it isn't helping us understand.

I thought a triplexer was a combination diplexer and separator. IIRC, it should be good not only for the remote antenna, but also to get the OTA antenna to the receiver.

It will do that too, but there was no mention of OTA in the OP.
