I am separating this from Don's DVR thread, well, because it's Bond. Beginning next Wednesday at 7:00 Eastern, MGMHD will be showing....

10/1 GoldenEye

10/2 Tomorrow Never Dies

10/3 The World is Not Enough

I'll continue as my Guide updates.

I hope these are quality transfers done for Blu-Ray purposes.

I saw a so-called "HD" transfer done by a Canadian channel of "Diamonds Are Forever" and it looked like cr*p - done from a poor quality print in a haphazard fashion, certainly not a careful archival restoration.

I hope these are not the same transfers as those...

SInce MGM owns them I would hope they look good. They looked good on the VOOM channels.

Ironically, for the first time, that line does not happen in the next Bond movie. Neither does "shaken, not stirred".

Is that true? I noticed the drink, and noticed that they made another one up rather than just do the shaken not stirred line..Something on the rocks with a twist and a splash of something else IIRC. I'll have to get back are rewatch the Casino Royale blu ray.

I need to set up my DVR. I'm a big Bond Fan. My problem is going to be do I have a tuner free

I wish I had archived those showing's... to me when I think of Bond I see Sean Connery...

I hear ya. I know they were in OAR W/DD. I don't believe MGMHD does DD. I missed quite a few and said, "They'll show the again." Not. That's about when they hit the crapper IMO.
