Confused ON bronze pricing for new customers

Hi all I am a bit confused from what my local dealer says and some post I have read.

I sign up as a new Dish customer I only want the HD channels so I pick BRONZE.
I assume that is the cheapest way to get the 23 HD channels?

Ok so if I go bronze my retail local dealer says DISH will bill me 29.95 a month for the first 10 months?

I am thinking thats wrong it will really show up 49.95 a month and every single month for the first 10 I have to mail in some rebate?

then i get a credit well I know I have it all confuse.
Let me know will every single bill show 29.95 a month?

thanks

Your bills will be for $49.95 (plus various fees) for a number of months. You'll receive a mail-in rebate form for $10/mo for 'new customers' and $10/mo for getting one of the HD packages. It's the same form but they're seperate rebates. One might kick in before the other or they might kick in together. When both finally kick in (it will be at least 2 months), you're bill will show the $50 Bronze price minus the (2) $10 rebates.

Be aware that bronze is America's top 60 plus most of the HD channels. Dish no longer offers a HD only package.

He should also note the Bronze doesn't get all the HD channels. The HBO/Showtime/Starz require the corresponding movie package or platinum (which includes all movie packages). NTGHD requires Gold. Not yet available, but suspected of reguiring the silver package, are the RSN-HD (regional sports networks)

Want to buy 500+ dish.

Can I get HD package w/Family Pack
