I notice that you can get generic DP34 switches for about a third the price of the dish switches. Any experience

Also has anyone seen any DPP44s at a reasonable price(like $100)

Last week a NEW DPP 44 sold for about $80.00 plus shipping on eBay.

If you want the DISH Network 1 yr. warranty you have to buy DISH. If you want to save money and warranty the product yourself buy off brand.

The company I work for has used a few of the off brand switches and we have found there are issues when using them with dual tuner receivers. Also, we were never able to get them to work correctly when we cascaded 2 or more switches.

From experence the Genaric DP34's are Junk, especially when your trying to use them with a Dual Tuner product.

The new DP44's being sold on ebay for $80 are stolen, the dealer cost on the DP44 is almost twice that!

The only good generaic switches on the market are the Microyal Sw21 and Sw21X

 -- It never occurred to me how they were so much cheaper than those offered by legit dealers. Actually I thought the dealers were just over-charging. But if a dealer pays $160 wholesale then there is no way those guys selling for $80 can be legit.

Thanks for the info...
